A few years ago I had too many dogs. My dog had puppies and I couldnt find homes for them(wasnt tryin really hard), so I had like 6 dogs or something. One of the neighbors called the city on me and they gave me some kind of notice that told me I had to be down to 2 dogs within about a month or I was gonna start getting fined. That was plenty of time for me to do it with a fire lit under my ass. You might just try that.
Better go with chain link because, by your description of these dogs, a wood fence ain't gonna last long.
I was, in fact, being serious regardless of my ridiculous attempt to bring Bob Barker into the mix. I digress.... Get your doggies fixed unless you are a breeder.
FT, I agree completely that she should get her dogs spayed/neutered if she wants to keep them; however, I take it your dogs aren't spayed/neutered (maybe they are now but they weren't way back when). It sucks that the more responsible person (which is you) has to do what you have to do, but when you have irresponsible people, regardless if they are family or not, you really have no choice. I'd get my dogs spayed and neutered if you haven't already done so.
On top of all that, when my minpins go into heat, we leave the dalmation out and put the min pins in the kennel. Well, while our Dalmation was out, her mutt b**** went into heat, and did she put her mutt in her kennel? OF COURSE NOT!!! Because she does not care to have a million fackin' mutts running around in MY YARD!!!
have some vietnamese familes come over and pick up a dozen or two. big party everyone!!! ill bring the beer!!! ill bring the plates, silverware, and napkins!!! ill bring the minpins!!!
I know what you're saying. The problem is my dogs are not going to be put through this procedure so my sisters dogs can have the run of the mill.
If you don't get your dogs fixed, this will come up again. But I can understand you being hesitant about it. I've always heard it's much safer and easier on the dog to get them fixed at a young age. I waited until my beagle was 3 and it nearly killed him. Had to take him to the emergency vet cause he was bleeding internally, and it cost me an extra $1,500.
My dogs' vet told me that it's bad for small dogs not to be fixed (particularly females) because going into heat repeatedly and never breeding actually causes health issues (like mammary tumors and the like). There is also a downside to fixing male dogs too late in their life. The longer you wait, supposedly, the more behavioral problems develop after they are fixed. Anyway......I didn't look any of this up, but rather took my vet's word on it. So if it's not true, my apologies. Hey, it could be worse! You could have 50 million cats running around.
Well, after I cleaned up all the dog crap AGAIN, and while the boys were playing on their 1 week old Rainbow Swing set, I strung out the boundary lines to level up the posts. $20.00 her dogs chew up the string overnight.
