    The question is if thats the type of stuff that fuels harden or not. Olajuwon may have taken this as a boost, but maybe harden doesnt. People dont work like that. Everyone is different.

    I could care less about the MVP. We only have 1-2 year window for the chip, it might be years before we are contenders again

    U do know that the MVP winner won’t be officially announced until after the playoffs and that the awards show happens after the finals right?

    this Olajuwon scenario y’all love to try and recreate isn’t happening

    I don’t care about pundit opinions. What I care about is how historically good his season has been and how it would be a travesty if he didn’t get it.

    That poll makes it sound like you have to sacrifice one to get the other, I don’t get it?

    This is technically true but not really accurate, each year most of the voters announce publicly who they voted for, and fans put it all together in spreadsheets to see who is going to win. So even though it's not officially announced, everyone knows who the winner is.

    ok, but there isn’t gonna be some moment where Harden sees Giannis hoisting the MVP trophy up in front of his fans giving Harden all this fire and extra motivation...people talked about this “Olajuwon moment” in 2015 and 2017, and yeah, it didn’t happen...just because Olajuwon did something doesn’t mean Harden will do the same, especially when he hasn’t twice already...I’m tired of that talking point

    Harden can win MVP and destroy the rest of the league in the playoffs

    Harden has met the last three mvp winners in the playoffs that he went against in the race and he hasn’t gone Olajuwon on neither. He lost to curry twice and beat Russ but it wasn’t a spectacular performance.
