stupidity was inevitable when u had a bunch of good role players agaist the Spurs starters. they are simply more experienced in late game situations..even though they are old..

i know u are pissed.. u probably have too much expecatations on them. when i got back home and found out KM and AB were both injured, i knew the match was almost over.. but our team surprised the hell out of me..the first time in 5 games i saw defense, i saw Spurs missing shots after shots at 4th quarter which had been non-existent in our last 4 games. i admit the loss is too tough to swallow. Had lee made those Fts we would of been 1:4 already..

the point i am tryna make is lower your expectations and u will feel different.

I was proud of Ish, Lee, Chuck, Luis, Battier.

They made some turnovers, but they played the right way. Our starters have yet to play the right way. Tempo being the largest issue.

Like having Chuck and Ish take most of the shots late in the game. Who's brilliant ideas was THAT? At least with Scola, you know the ball has a chance of going in.

Last year's run and gun team was fun to watch and root for because we knew they were going nowhere, and they didn't. This year, we are expecting a finals run with the return of Yao. What did we get? A healthy Yao hobbled not by injury, but by management. We got skinny and midget players who "starred" in last year's scrub team thinking they are still the stars when Yao is playing. We got a coach who is barely visible when the team is falling apart? No words of encouragement, no sideline coaching, no timeouts and just sit there pretending to be interested in the game. In a few short years, we went from top 3 defense to the worst defense in the league.

This entire board worships Morey, oh please, he's better suited for the stock market where he can buy undervalue stocks. The team morey assembled to complement Yao are a bunch of no defense 3 point chucking guards who can't pass for life.

Coach allows a rookie point guard who can't shoot to take 14 shots in crunch time? What?

I am so sick of seeing Yao post up one on one and watch brooks or martin wave him off or pass to the other side of the court? I mean, wtf? Why in the world are we seeing this over and over and over?

The worst problem is Yao himself, trying to be like his rookie self and be liked by everybody. Why the hell is he always inbounding the ball and not running to the other side of the court? Yao, get your rookie scrubs to do it for you! This whole damn team is built for you, so act like you are the team. Shoot every freaking shot and quit passing. The one guy who I want to be a blackhole is the most pass happy schmuck on the team. Who wants to waste 20 seconds getting the ball to you to just watch you pass out to a midget under the rim and watch it get blocked?

Adelman is a player's coach and is good for teams with stars that has good leadership ability like Chris webber or Clyde Drexler. Yao simply don't have that ability, Adelman is the wrong coach for him and this team. JVG was the right coach. JVG got screwed by "RYAN F'N Bowen" starting in playoff games. JVG boring ball is a hell of alot better than this out of control offensive extravaganza. Give me a W and I'll be happy.

The Rockets probably have the toughest schedule the first five games in the season.

    Lakers who are 6-0
    Warriors who are 4-1
    Nuggets who are 4-2
    Hornets who are 6-0
    Spurs who are 4-1

So a combined 24-4 records between all the teams we played.

We will only get better this point on after the team develops more chemistry and continuity. We should wait for them to play against the diversity of all the teams before we negatively judge them.

There you go, the spurs are a shadow of their former selves. We got close because they sucked and didn't play any defense either. We are an up and coming team that is to finally take the top spot in Texas and what did we get? Mediocrity, no worst, bottom of the heap. What I'm saying is, this team can compete, but will once again be a first round fodder, if we get lucky. This kind of performance is absolutely horrible for a supposed elite team to be.

agreed, i remember one season dallas started with an 0-5 record but went on to win over 60 games with the best record in the NBA, not that im predicting rockets will emulate them but i believe eventually once things start to fall in place, we will make a run of wins and im predicting we will make a run for more than 10 wins at some point in the season and hopefully it starts with a win against the wolves tomorrow :)

Excuses. We are 0-5 and there are no do overs. All those records look good because they each got a freebie from us.

Based on your list, that only tells me that we cannot compete against the elite. Something needs to change and needs to change quick. I don't want to watch the rest of the season watching scrubs playing with "heart."

The Rockets also have the worst luck in the league. Care to sugarcoat that?

I don't think we should settle for mediocrity. No we don't even deserve to be called mediocre. I am happy that they played hard even without their best players on the court, but this was the Rocket's game. We should've won. If we as fans keep settling for loses then this will be a long season.

I don't care too much about records this early. They only played hard in 2 halves of 5 games. The defensive intensity is rarely there. I don't know what to be proud of.

The good thing about being 0-5 is teams don't expect a good team.

The bad thing about being 0-5 is teams don't want to be the first team to lose against you.

I'll give this team five more games until I make a decision.

So far, they've played well at times, but as duly noted, haven't yet won a game. Just haven't put it together yet. Maybe they will. Maybe they won't.
    Five more games will tell.

I've posted this before, and I'll post it again.

The '06-'07 Mavericks and '06-'07 Suns started 0-4 and 1-5, respectively.

The Mavs ended up at 67-15, and the Suns ended up at 61-21.

    Keep the hope alive!

The 06-07 Mavs had the eventual MVP Nowitzki. The 06-07 Suns had the reigning MVP Nash.

You should probably stop posting that comparison.
