Interestingly enough, Luc is out with a knee injury and likely out for the next several games, which I'm sorry to hear. At least the Clippers don't have to worry about his shoulder. Not yet, anyway.
Yup. Here’s another interesting thought for anyone that cries about not re-signing Luc. There is a very good chance that we would not have invited Clark to camp if we had Luc. Not guaranteed but possible. And we would have started the season with him and that would be another person we wouldn’t know how to deal with considering he’s only played 4 games.
I still think MDA is the better coach (Coach of the Year) We ended up with the BEST coach for the James Harden era. Look what his system has been able to do for James. Has made him an MVP (2X basically) and has set all kinds of team and NBA records. Has gotten the most out of our team
MDA would not be available right away..... there was a better way to fill the void. And there was no guarantee for Chris Paul to join Harden earlier anyway.
Nah, that would be at least one championship but it should be more but yeah, I have more ambition. This, we almost did this, we almost did that narrative is one to puke at. This year seems to be another perfect opportunity.
Nope but I think he was way better than McHale. The coach has no control over asset management. And the asset management under Morey has been an up and down one. The problem goes deeper than just one person. MCW was the worst decision in a long time, Carmelo was a tough gamble, it's like drafting Royce White all over again or relying on a hot head named Terrence Squid Williams.
We're really lucky, Rockets are a classy organization. Melo is a personal friend of some of our players. It was clearly not working and they let him go just like that, all without incident, without drama. The whole thing was a low risk, high reward type of deal which you make 10/10 times. In the end it cost us nothing, maybe a few wins which will surely prove unimportant when all is said and done. Another great move was getting Bzdelik back after he retired. I'm glad the Rockets were able to swallow their pride and acknowledge his contribution last year and get him back. Truly one of the best run organizations out there.
