Morey has so much class! He traded Lin to a place where he is comfortable (close to his hometown). He probably could have sent Lin elsewhere, but look where he sent him! He also traded Marcus Morris to Phoenix to play with his brother. He traded Brooks to a place where he knew Lawson was hurt, and Brooks went right in and started!
For people complaining about Parsons being overpaid, I'm all for having a solid starting 5 and seeing what Morey does to the bench. There's nothing to be sour over. (See '04 Detroit Pistons)
I went from depressed and worried we would be huge losers this offseason to celebrating today. Everything turning up Rockets.
Changing your tune yet? I see you left some out clauses in that post but based on the tone of pretty much all your posts I'm guessing you'll find a way to criticize the moves so far today.
If Dragic was here instead of Lin, we are sitting this out on the sideline..... WHOOP.... NEVER TELL MOREY HOW TO DO HIS JOB.....He will make a BH out of you too.....
The weird thing about the hate for Morey is that for any normal person, his characteristics would be lauded, not hated. Have backup plans in case primary plans fail? In life people call that "being prepare" instead of "we are desperate now we're looking at backup plans lol murray sucks" Having patience instead of reaching for the first shiny object? In life that is considered a virtue instead of "y u no sign Spencer Hawes look at Clippers now they super awesome and Rockets suck" Doing lots of work can find opportunities in a changing environment like going after Bosh the moment LeBron may be leaving Miami? In life that's considered "People make their own luck" instead of "lol such a longshot why we wasting time on this" Morey exhibits a lot of characteristics that I would say most people find commendable in normal everyday life. He's a hard worker, diligent, plans his work, and in general a lunch pail type of GM who relies on his skill instead of his salesmanship and charisma like Riley or Phil. In the end, I honestly could care less what kind of GM we have as long as he's successful. But really personality wise I can't see much wrong with Morey. His business attitude may rub people the wrong way, but then you look at what Parsons did and realize that this is a 2-way street.
No one can hate Morey Absolute best GM out there Only think I dislike him for is persisting with a clueless incompetent pathetic joke of a coach in McHale who least deserves a championship roster
