If there's any coach in the NBA who can work with Artest it's got to be Adelman. The media's reporting that they have a great working relationship.

Man, this could be sweet if things work out.

People don't seem to understand that this is not a question of whether or not the Rockets became better as a team... Of course we did.

This is a question of whether we can support Artest as a person.

Cast the first stone if you aren't a sinner.

Welcome Ron Ron, you're human like us!

I feel like we just traded a 81' accord + some rims for a 91' Ferrari, although the Ferrari has a few kinks and can sometimes be wild. But heck, it's a babe (media) magnet, and if we ever get the kinks worked out, it will be awsome!

True enough... I mean the more I think about it, the more I think it shouldn't really matter that much... but that's probably because I'm doing everything in the world to convince myself to just be happy about this. I don't want to have to convince myself of anything, though.

I mean really, what if one of these women that Ron abused was your sister an good old friend from college? Would you have the same attitude about all this? Maybe what he did isn't really all that bad, I don't know.

Why can't Ron Ron get a fair chance to be a good person? why can't he get a chance to do for himself and not have people judge him? Is it my job as a fan to police his personal life?

Forget Ron Ron, what about everyone else here? are we all saints or are all sinners?

And how do you know if Ron Ron was the bad guy? you never heard of tales of women taking advantage of rich guys?

Do you ask people for their entire life stories and their sins before you become their friend?

Face it people, it happened with Max and its happening again with Ron Ron. People aren't perfect, people make mistakes and people have their own lives.

And why doesn't Larry Bird get the hate for refusing to acknowledge his illegit daughter, but Ron Ron, Max, Dr J, Tmac, get all the heat? is it bacause he's....

Reunited with a coach he loved .....CHECK
    Contract Year .....CHECK
On a team that can contend..... CHECK

I think those are some ingredients for him to be on his best behavior. All of it will equal a big payday.

When you haven't made it out of the first round in a decade, you gotta take some risks. I'm feeling it.

Don't speak for the rest of us.
There are hundred of NBA players and fans who are human.
    Artest is only half. :)

Now I understand your obsession with these nut cases. You are one of them. :)

I like Ron the player, btw. I just hope he keeps his emotion under check.

I hope he doesn't keep them in check, but instead channels them and unleashes them in the the form of a Ha-do-ken-esque fireball straight through the hearts of all who oppose him.

    MUAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

man what's wrong with you, don't you listen to Tupac??

these guys are supremely talented but they are battling their demons.

There was no mercy on the streets, I couldn't rest
I'm barely standin, bout to go to pieces, screamin peace
And though my soul was deleted, I couldn't see it
I had my mind full of demons tryin to break free
They planted seeds and they hatched, sparkin the flame
inside my brain like a match, such a dirty game
    No memories, just a misery
Paintin a picture of my enemies killin me, in my sleep
Will I survive til the mo'nin, to see the sun
Please Lord forgive me for my sins, cause here I come...

This is how I felt when we signed Bonzi, who by the way has always been way more of a bad person than Artest. A few people also expressed concerns but they were forgotten the first time Bonzi had a good game. Artest is what everyone wished Bonzi could be. He will have many good games and all will be forgotten about his off court issues.

Man i do not get peoples obsessions with Athletes. They are payed to entertain not be the perfect role models for society. So what if Artest has off court issues. He is played to play the game of basketball. Artest is a normal HUMAN. he has flaws like any one of us. He hit his wife, underfed his dog, and got into a fight with fans. You can't excuse the first two however Artest has shown he is working on his image i.e. humanitarian efforts in Africa and working for PETA. Everyone makes mistakes. However it is up to the person to admit their wrongs and try and work on their flaws. Which seems to be the case with Artest. All in all im not gonna beg Artest to be the nxt Jesus. I just want him to go to work and try his best where he earns his paycheck... on the court
