Ron is troubled but I think he is a nice person. I have doubts about him but I welcome him to the Houston Rockets with open arms. I can understand where the OP is coming from but I don't think the Rockets have sold their soul to win.
And Ronnie Boy will definitely be able to make more money for the Rockets (jerseys, merchandise, tickets, etc.).
I'm optimistic. But, I can't understand why everyone gets so excited over such an unknown. Lets see how he fits in and how his attitude is. Everyone got pretty excited like this when we got Pippen. I don't like the premature excitement.
Plus can you tell all the idiot Jazz fans at TXB that Chief Ediri told all of them to STFU and just wait when j*zz gets swept all over the floor next postseason.
Well he said it in a interview not too long ago. Artest really meant the Rockets.........................hopefully.
see its a WIN WIN situation, if artest doesn't work out we get an 8.5mil expiring who is not a dud so we can trade for a better player
Yes, Aiel and milkshake(what type of name is that?) don't know anything. How do they actually believe that they will still beat Houston, when we could have beat them both times? They barely escaped the 1st time, and the 2nd time we would have won if Alston was never injured and some of the most BS calls I ever seen in my life(AK-47 flop anyone?) Is a fake IP illegal? How do you get one?
this is an awesome trade it's almost a perfect fit for the rockets. not only a 3rd scorer and defensive weapon but even his maligned attitude will come in handy come the playoffs this is an ideal fit from artest's perspective too. reuniting with the one coach who truly put his trust in you and a veteran team with Deke to be the Head Grandpa in charge, and a lot of locker room chemistry with 2 humble superstars and other vets with good hearts like scola and francis is it GONNA WORK??? who knows it's up to adelman to sort everything out and barring injuries this is about as good a trade other than an all-star point that Morey could have made for the team. it's also in Artest's interests financially and professionally to have a great year and prove he can play team ball. not to mention Houston is an up and coming city for artests rap career and all that crap and for the rockets MINIMAL DOWNSIDE financially and almost 0 downside in terms of their longterm plans for 2010+

I'll agree that "Artest is exactly what we need" for a championship. However, you are totally off base to call wreck soft for drawing the line on some of his on court antics. Do you condon Karla's bearhug of Drexler that allowed Stockton to hit the 3 that ended our season or Micheal Finley standing out of bounds to strip the ball away from Yao in the Mavs playoff series? Play the game hard, but clean. Pulling Pierce's trunks down to slow him up isn't acceptable. Going balistic in the middle of a game isn't acceptable. Calling someone "soft" for drawing the line on what is acceptable & what isn't is almost as bad as calling someone an "imbasolic a$$hole" for doing it. Therefore I won't do that. By the way, I totally agree with wreck on this one!
