When Rockets face the Western contenders, they need Chuck. TD, dirk, Gasol, Amare, Boozer, they are franchise player or at least semi-franchise player. Can Landry keep straight up with them this year? If so, Landry will be Rockets next Moses Malone.

As Yao Ming told Chinese reporters, it was Chuck that standed out to speak his teammates to take care of their business in a team meeting after home loss to Philly. It's the turn point of the season. Ironically, chuck lost his minutes after that. But Chuck will be used in playoff when it really matters.

True, but they played a combined 60 minutes between them because they weren't only playing the 4 position.

It's still a very impressive performance though. That's why I never could understand trade talk about us possibly acquiring a power forward.

Of course, a lot of credit for that should go to our excellent team defense. Chuck didn't do too much in terms of stats before, though we've always had a positive differential at the PF position. With Scola/Landry getting the lion share of the minutes at PF now, I suspect that the positive differential has increased.

He is going to get a much bigger contract next year, and we are going to have to use some of our MLE to sign him...I think.
