Yup. Poland was my first experience with the "shelf," which completely had me tripped out. I kind of stood up a bit to wipe because I was afraid to get a knuckle full. ....god that's gross....
Questionn number 1# Where did the tamales come from? If they were a "packaged brand", even a lesser known one it may not be an issue. If, however, it was the kind you get from the guys who walk the clubs late at night, or if they were sent from mexico without passing throught food importation checks, you might have an issue, as these types are not subject to such strict quality controls, and you might have contracted a viral disease or intestinnal parasite. From what I've been able to gleam, taking something to harden your stool might not be the greatest idea in the world, as the diarrhea may be a way to flush these problem intesinal fauna. The biggest thing to worry about is fluids & electrolites. Drink lots of chicken or beef broth, and sports drinks like gatorade to restore fluids. Dissentary, for instance, causes death by dehydration from fluid loss. Also, do you have any kind of fevor? That would provide weight to the viral/bacterial hypotheis. Other things like cold medicines can cause the runs as well as GI tract infections, so you can't rule that sort of thing out. Some antibiotics also cause diarrhea by killing helpful intestinal flora. Here is a list from a general website about when to seek a physician's advice:
*****ASS UPDATE***** So, I went to a doctor on Friday to get my ass checked up, which isn't getting better, but it's not really that horrible, just a regular annoyance. I'm on antibiotics, but they don't seem to be helping, and I think I may have to go see a gastroenterologist, and get a serious thorough ass examination. I hope they don't have to jam anything up in there, that's the last thing I need right now.
I recommend using more conventional and clean items when you choose to stimulate your own prostrate. Using strange or dirty items can lead to the spread of bacteria which could lead to infection resulting in feces disorder.
One thought I have from my experience fixing computers. What people think to be the cause of their problems is often what Alfred Hitchcock would call a "McGuffin". What seems to be a cause-effect relationship is actually only coincidence. Furthermore, I just found out something that I didn't know -- One potential cause of diarrhea is diabetes, which can often be easy to misdiagnose in early stages. Here is a list of diseases/disorders which I found that list diarrhea as a symptom. Good reading to make you paranoid, but most doctors tend to follow Occam's Razor when it comes to making diagnoses, and don't even consider exploring more obscure causes unless confronted with obvious symptoms. You might look over the list and see if anything sounds familiar. Also, are you experiencing any sort of stomach cramping in relation to the condition? The people I know who used to do lots of cocaine would always experience stomach cramps followed by the runs. Not to suggest that you’re a coke fiend, but some sort of medicine which causes increased muscle tone of the intestines could be something to think about. As a disgusting aside, I went to the ER with really bad food poisoning which caused diarrhea so severe that I first discovered the condition when I sat on the toilet and started to urinate, only to realize the liquid expulsion was emanating from my @ss. This lasted for a day or so before I forced my self to go to the ER. Once there, the doctor felt it necessary to stick his finger where the sun doesn't shine to get a sample to ensure make sure there was no blood in the stool. As bad as that was, it could have been worse. He wanted to reach for my tonsils but was afraid that doing so would cause my sphincter to believe it was time to let loose, and didn't want me to spontaneously spray my homage to Jackson Pollack on the walls of the examination room in shades of mahogany and ochre. In any case, the whole process was bad enough as it was. I still feel violated from the experience, and I think next time I’ll just calmly pass away from dysentery.
Up to 20% of people get diarrhea from antibiotics. Post what they have you on and I can look up the prescribing info online and give you a better idea how prone your particular antibiotic is to causing the runs. Once, my mother told her doctor that the particular antibiotic that she was on wasn't working so well, so he gave her Cipro for a relatively minor infection. In case you don't remember, Cipro is the hella-antibiotic that they were recommending for people who were exposed to anthrax. It is one of the most powerful antibiotics available and has a host of nasty side effects, including seizures and other fun things. She was wondering why she was having really bad headaches and GI problems, until I looked at what the doctor gave her and explained. In any case, you should probably take the whole course of the antibiotic, making sure to take enough fluids and electrolites, before you procede to another doctor, unless you get worse, or are otherwise extra concerned, or have other symptoms like a fever of pain or swelling or something.
Sorry to keep rambling, but the major exception here is bloody diarrhea. If that is the case you should probably be more concerned than I've been sugesting.
If you want to help out with your symptoms, what you need to do is slow down your problems.... You absolutely cannot stop your gut motility cuz then you're just looking at a breeding ground for the bacteria that's causing your problem.... If you slow it down though, at least you're getting rid of this a bit at a time. Immodium is the devil for this situation. And despite what you think, the antibiotics will work. Just give it time. Keep on it and no more immodium.
Is your dropping red or black ? What's the color of it ? By all sounds, you have a serious stomach bug. Why don't you see a Chinese doctor ?
I'm sure that you don't get lactose intolerabt over night, but you have the symptoms. Restict your diet and see if it may be an allergy to some type of food. Do you have a lot of gas when you pass the juice.
