We need Francis back asap. Luther Head is a turnover waiting to happen, Barry is over the hill, Wafer is unproven, and Rafer is a disaster. Get well soon Stevie
I want Steve Francis over Luther Head any freaking day-- Francis--can pass, Luther Can't Francis--has handles, Luther does NOT Francis--can play D, Luther Can't Francis--can create for himself and hit shots off the dribble, Luther Can't Francis--can catch and shoot, Luther can only do this sometimes Francis--has heart, Luther has suckinitis Francis--is NOT done, Luther has long been done.
But luther is dressed and can play at any time - Francis can not . I heard that he might practice this week i hope he actually does
awesome video. i love steve francis. there will always be doubters for his return but i know hes working hard to come back. you dont go from san jacinto junior college to maryland without hard work. his return is possible. i hope to see stevie back on the court very soon. good luck bro. houston still loves you. you just gotta show us something. get healthy son
As much as I can't believe that was Steve, I REALLY can't believe that was Yao in some of those highlights. Yao moved ten... no, twenty times better than he does now. Yao in his rookie season was quick for a 7,6 guy. Now, he's just a 7,6 guy.
Francis has up to all star break or the resignation of Mutombo, or even when things start to look bad. At this stage, the Rockets are only lacking chemistry and battier, our defensive leader and general. When he comes back, and we perform well, Steve will probably stay for chemistry reasons. However, if we begin to go down hill, we might throw Francis in a trade, and make a smarter version of the Suns and Mavericks deal (hopefully). So Francis better hurry and work even harder. To be honest, it isn't looking good for him. Not only does he need to practice and get his skills back, he has to learn RA's offense and JVG's defense. Francis has a long road to climb, he only has himself to beat right now. I hope for the best, I really like him as a player, and I vote him as the best ball handling in NBA history, at least on par with Iverson when healthy.
Steve was on the sidelines tonight vs. the Hornets cheering Brooks and Head. Was the first time I've seen him there. I was at the game the other day and did not see him at all. I wasn't the biggest SF3 fan, I thought his turnovers were far too high and his skills were sporadic. However, he's not old and he has the potential to drive the basket and dish off (something Alston and Brooks aren't that great at). His other skills are also generally well rounded. In some of the games he played for us last year he clearly looked like an upgrade to RA. My guess is he practices for the first 'real' time with the team Tuesday. He did go through the drills in training camp and played some last year under Adelman so the learning curve should be low. He might actually play in a game at some point this month.
Its crazy that this was just last season...THERES STILL HOPE...STEVE STILL HAS IT <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/SlZA4vrUmWE&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/SlZA4vrUmWE&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object> Like Ron Ron said...Dont rule out stevie franchise <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/O2uxM0_8Ax8&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/O2uxM0_8Ax8&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>

Looks to me he still has the handle still has the first step even though he traveled a bit but that can be worked on. and at the end still has the hops and explosiveness. Somebody please tell me in what area is he declining?? I understand he wasn't playing against a nba player but still he still looks good moving. And if im not mistaken this is when he didn't even lose the weight yet. There is still hope!!!!!!
