i feel your pain. i put up with it for 2 semesters though. a big bag of foam earplugs usually does the trick......or a hatchet. also try a little box fan. they make white noise thatll buffer a bit too. btw white noise is a synonym for background noise so no jokes please
I never had this exact problem. I had the problem my freshman year of my roommate bringing different random guys over every night (around 2:00am) and having sex with them while I was there, asleep...or rather, trying to sleep. The problem was that they were trying to be quiet so all I heard were what my friends and I now refer to as "the squishy noises." I talked to her about it and it didn't work. Oh, and did I mention she was stealing from me. And she would also get up 2 hours before he 8am class, turn on all the lights, the tv, the radio and open the window and sing while she was getting ready (while I was sleeping....or rather still trying to sleep). It was the most unpleasant situation I had every been in. It totally affected my GPA too. I finally just talked to my RA's and forced them to let me move into another room. Good luck!
In all honesty, I don't have it. She later got kicked out of the Honors College and then the University of Houston too. She's currently going to HCC and working (from what I've heard). Even if I did have it though, I couldn't give it to you. She was nasty (and not in the good way).
Oski, your problem is bad. but not quite as bad as the problem I once had with a Ukranian roommate I once had during summer school. the one who used my toothbrush for 2 weeks before I found out about it.
Oski, I have not laughed out loud in the true sense once since I began posting on cc.net... ...until now. I hate that it is at your expense, but that could be made into a comedy episode on a sitcom. So you suggest Oski spoon him?
my ex-roommate used to like sleeping with rock music on, so I have to buy ear plug. and sometime he talks during the sleep. I was awake one time when he suddently yell at me at middle of night "Let's go to prom!" I was like WTFFFFFFFFFF
Ehhhh ...........I know the episode you are referring to (the one where Jerry drops his girlfriends toothbrush in the toilet and doesn't tell her about it). Not really a good fit here though.
No offense to anybody here who does this, and I am a huge Seinfeld fan, but the ubiquitous Seinfeld references on this board are seriously getting old. They serve to derail threads and are getting to be the expected norm for a thread's demise lately. No, I'm not in charge of what people post on here, but it's just getting old imo. carry on.

Sleep with one eye open. . . I've been fighting the problem with music, IE I just pop a CD in and put my earphones on. Sometimes though, I'll wake up in the middle of the night and the CD will be done and it's like he knows it too and starts making the noise again. Last night I was in a particularly foul mood since my batterries died and I was really tired. I'm still not sure how to approach telling the guy, but I feel I have to find out how in the hell does he make the damn noise. I and my friends have sat around trying to see if we can do it, but no dice.
Do you have a digital camera w/ movie capabilities? We would love if you could get us a little clip of what he does.
