As long as you were born in the US you're fine. What tips them off is when they see the place of birth on your passport as Pakistan (even if you are a US Citizen). Basically if you have a clear tie to Pakistan that's obvious (which you dont) they'll make it hell to get a visa In short, you'll be fine.
It is the slow process by which we are turning all the posters at CF into lesfist islamisticals. But man, when it rains, it rains HARRRRD over there. I think once it even hailed. And they have a lot of underpasses instead of overpasses in Riyadh, so a few times those got flooded lol.
Yes, absolutely. In this economy our top priority should be to make sure there are parties on the beach, alcohol, and naked girls where we work. Not the fact that we actually have a job in a place where none of the above mentioned amenities exist. Double repped. Yeah, I can do that.
I actually googled that and came to the same result, but thought it would be better to let someone talk who has first-hand experience.
I came across this lengthy discussion, and it looks like a lot of people in the same situation have had to wait close to a year to get an Indian visa. One guy who posted in that thread is a third-generation British-Pakistan who is head of a bulge bracket trading desk in London...he applied for an Indian visa and has been waiting for 9 months.
I know of a Pakistani who has an Indian husband, She usually has to make 3-4 trips to the Indian Embassy in Houston before she gets her visa.
Do you know anyone that's traveled from India to Pakistan (or vice versa)? If I get this Indian tourist visa, I plan on going to both (my Pakistani visa is in my old passport, but is still valid).
Yep, but they had a stopover in Dubai. I dont think they were doing direct flights from Delhi to Pakistan back then.
I haven't been since 2007, but when I was checking in my luggage for that flight at IAH, the woman working the counter looked to see what my final destination was, and with a straight face said, "Are you sure you want to go there?" Funny enough, the only country that's hassled me about traveling to Pakistan is Israel. US customs never give me any trouble when I get back. Usually just a quick stamp of the passport and a "Welcome back." There are tons of Pakistani-Americans in Houston, so I'm sure it's nothing out of the ordinary for them to see.
