I'm glad the Rockets are interviewing many coaches.

The fact that they are interviewing so many coaches just means they don't have a plan. They had all year to develop one, but I guess that amounted to Kenny Smith

 

Were all the coaches available to them now available during the season?

 

I have to agree with you on this. Folks like the OP are bending over backwards to find a reason to give this organization the benefit of the doubt. Based on what's gone down, I just don't have much confidence in them to make the right call on the next head coach. Interviewing Kenny Smith bothers me greatly because it looks like some sort of gimmick - as if they think that because hiring a TV analyst worked out for GS with Kerr that this is a viable course of action for them to take. I'd like to believe that the organization is smarter than that but I am no longer sure.

 

Sadly, Kerr had already spent time in the Spurs organization. I thought of him more as a player personnel guy. Kenny is really just a basketball commentator. Agreed, it doesn't instill one with a lot of faith.

 

Morey wants a coach he can bend to fit his analytic style of offense. Many people in the nba agree the rockets style of play is a losing style without constant movement on offense and teamplay aka sharing the ball. Heck.the starting lineup looks to be horrible if morey strikes out in FA. Dmo maybe gone and jones will have to be resigned
