That was like 10 years ago... before youtube I didn't even record them at the time... now I kinda wish I had.
Here's the video: <object classid='clsid:d27cdb6e-ae6d-11cf-96b8-444553540000' codebase='http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=9,0,0,0' width='320' height='305' id='embeddedplayer'><param name='movie' value='http://gannett.a.mms.mavenapps.net/mms/rt/1/site/gannett-kare-3323-pub01-live/current/articleplayer_new/singleclip/client/embedded/embedded.swf'/><param name='allowFullScreen' value='true'/><param name='allowScriptAccess' value='always'/><param name='scale' value='noscale'/><param name='salign' value='LT'/><param name='bgcolor' value='#000000'/><param name='wmode' value='window'/><param name='FlashVars' value='playerId=articleplayer&referralObject=1208466010&referralPlaylistId=playlist&adServerBasePath=http://gannett.gcion.com/adrawdata/.0/5111.1/506904/0/0/header=yes;cc=2;cookie=info;alias=&adPositionId=video_prestream&adSiteId=video.kare11.com/&gpaperCode=gntbcstkare&marketName=Minneapolis, MN&division=broadcast&pageContentCategory=video&pageContentSubcategory=articleplayer'/><embed type='application/x-shockwave-flash' src='http://gannett.a.mms.mavenapps.net/mms/rt/1/site/gannett-kare-3323-pub01-live/current/articleplayer_new/singleclip/client/embedded/embedded.swf' id='embeddedplayer' pluginspage='http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer' menu='false' quality='high' play='false' name='articleplayer' height='305' width='320' allowFullScreen='true' allowScriptAccess='always' scale='noscale' salign='LT' bgcolor='#000000' wmode='window' flashvars='playerId=articleplayer&referralObject=1208466010&referralPlaylistId=playlist&adServerBasePath=http://gannett.gcion.com/adrawdata/.0/5111.1/506904/0/0/header=yes;cc=2;cookie=info;alias=&adPositionId=video_prestream&adSiteId=video.kare11.com/&gpaperCode=gntbcstkare&marketName=Minneapolis, MN&division=broadcast&pageContentCategory=video&pageContentSubcategory=articleplayer'/></object> And the link with the recipe: http://www.kare11.com/life/recipes/mikesbbq/mikesbbq_article.aspx?storyid=821562&catid=335 Sorry no Clutchfans reference. I was trying to get in a "Its summer people supposed to be grillin.." but that part didn't make it on. Anyway plenty of plugs for Texas!
Awesome Sishir! Lol. The fact that you exploited your apparrel is awesome. (though I'd prefer a Tech jersey) Immediately pouring salt into the wound? Literally Doubly awesome while working at the Gophers and wearing Texas Paraphenalia.. Well done! EDIT: Sorry, can't give you rep yet. Have to spread around apparently.
Isn't the rule never to really eat on a cooking show? , I liked the fact you were digging into your own cookingh...congrats, you did a great job!
Awesome, well done. Way to represent. When that guy asked if it would have killed you to wear some UM gear, you should have said "No, but I'll kill you if you ask me that again."
From a former Minnesota Rocket(Plymouth to be exact), that was nice. One of my old pals just installed a 82" in his basement in time for football season. That gave me and the kids a reason to make a visit this fall/winter. They miss the snow and I miss the wings from my old watering hole (Jake's).
Could you just use Diet Coke? I guess the sugar is real important for caramelizing...but isn't it the acid in the soda that tenderizes the meat? I wonder how much different it would be with Diet Coke? Maybe you could do Diet Coke and brown sugar...probably be pretty good? Have you tried the root beer variation of this that was eluded to by the host?
Kinda wished you would have used a Rockets' shirt instead. I kid! Good job on the ribs and thank you for the recipe, sir. Put it up on allrecipes.com and I bet you will get great reviews. p.s. Did you notice they wrote "Shishir" on your name at the beginning? Who is correct?
