I think the contract thing was done just for the chance that he may be traded.

Another useless knee-jerk thread. Hey, we won the game, and Luis was far from the only Rocket to struggle. He still managed to get 15 points and 10 boards.

...could be.... nobody could see the offensive drop off.

    18 points to 15ppg
    8 rebounds to 5.9 rbs

He is not on an all-time low but his numbers are down, quite significantly...especially on the boards.

I still like Scola but as soon as he puts the ball on the floor to dribble, I know it's gonna be a turnover. Not sure if he's thinking too much now, but he'll take like 5 or 6 dribbles and then loses it. In previous years, he'll take one maybe two and then go into his move.

Knee jerk? This thread is straight and direct to the point.
You are right. Scola was not the only one who struggled. He was the one struggling late in the fourth. Which, btw, almost cost us the game.

Kmart just won the game for us tongiht. And Scola had 15 and 10. Patterson only had 8 pts on 4-11 shooting. Last year Patterson was amazing, but this year Scola and Kmart have played better than Lee and Patterson. Trading them just for the sake of trading them would be pretty stupid.

Last season Scola was 19th highest in FG% among among forwards (SF & PF). This season he's 14th highest in FG% among fowards.

As it has been said previously the team is rebounding better as a group and Dalembert is taking more of the rebounds too.

I have never had a problem with his numbers. It's him being a liability on the floor because of his inconsistencies and lack of defense.

So is Parsons. At the end of the game, Scola spent the entire walk to the locker room lecturing Parsons about something. I would love to know what it was.

I think nobody said we should trade them for the sake of trading.
BadLee said on their contract. They don't perform as the best or second best players.

Martin is paid to score above 20 p per game... which he is not doing
Scola is paid to average around 17 ppg, with more emphasis on close to 9 boards .... he averages 5.8 boards right now, with tonight's game 6 boards

The maker of this thread is exactly right.

Both Martin and Scolas values are decreasing by the day. We need to trade both of them right now before its too late. Try to acquire a draft pick and young talent.

This opportunity doesnt come around very often for teams. We have two backups (lee and patterson) who can fill the roles easily and even upgrade the team.

You can't deny his disappearance in the 4th and he is just not athletically gifted... and his body is denying him in crunch time... that is disturbing.

If giving up Carl Landry and Vassilis Spanoulis is your idea of buying high...

You guys are the biggest fairweather fans ever............

First off, as bad as Martin's playing replacing him wont be NEARLY as easy as you guys make it seem. He's 20pt a night scorer and nobody on our roster can create a shot as easily as Kmart. Unless your getting another scorer off the dribble, then trading him only creates another hole. Scola on the other hand is definatley replaceable.

Both Martin and Scola are not good defenders... which is well known....
Nowadays they cannot score enough in the 4th quarter.....
Kudos to Martin that he draws clutch fouls but he cannot score at will.
Scola is fouling more than defending right now

The difference is the reliance on smallball down the stretch and playing C.
