I'm not sure why you are pointing this one out. Ariza couldn't dribble the ball up the court to save his life. Seriously, my wife has better ball-handling skills than that guy.

Koopa is from Los Angeles. This explains everything.

Only six games in, he will adjust and his D will improve. This is all new schemes for him and it will take some time to get use to playing with a team.

Yeah he totally sucks in NO..they're 6-0 and he's doing well there. I'm dealing with people who thinks whatever management does is RIGHT..so even if Lee continues playing like he's LoST and shooting bricks into an ocean . Durvasa takes out stats of Lee even though he doesnt even play that many minutes and is not in the same league as ariza. We can't see Lee's awkward movement on the stats could we? Lee was in the losingest team in the world and a new jersey fan said he averaged 1-2 airballs a game. We already have jermaine taylor for that. Rationalize your minds, don't be biased in whatever management does is right.
Don't forget Ariza's intangible defense and game winning 3 pointers for the rockets (that don't show up on the statline). I haven't seen Lee make any gamewinners or any intangibles like Ariza. For every ish smith, aaron brooks or landry's there's also the jermaine taylors and jarred jeffries. We've done enough talking..let's just watch and see and personally decide then.

I cant even count how many game bricking 3s Ariza shot last year. Hell hes still doing it this year with CP3 Feeding him. If you call Lee shooting bricks into the ocean, then Ariza has to be on track for 0% fg. While I agree this move cuts the payroll, but instead of having Ariza,Battier,Budinger on the same spot, I'd Rather it be more balanced.

    Ariza was a starter.

    Lee is a bench player.

Money issues aside, how is Lee Ariza's replacement again?

He may not be the savior - but Ariza was Bad Karma - and dude could not shoot . . .

Lee has a shot and plays some D with great Energy - I disagree completely . . . first 5 games was more about a lack of AB heart due to contract pouting than Courtney Lee/Ariza issues.

I'll reserve judgement until we are least halfway through the season. Give the guy some time to get acclimated.

    WTF are you talking about?

He said nothing about getting Bosh in his post and this move was AFTER the Big 3 were assembled.

    Dumbass people, I swear.

koopa... get over it hoss. You're coming off like a troll.

Whether anyone thinks Lee is better than Ariza or not, you cannot debate the following:

Lee @ $1.35 for just this season is MUCH BETTER than Ariza @ $6.32 for 4 more years.

With Ariza, Rockets had better results last year.
With Ariza, NO have much better record than last year.

Without Ariza, Rockets had the worst defense even with Yao playing, Miller singing and the great defense from Lee.

How is that trade making Rockets much better?

I can think of one thing is sure better: Les' wallet.

    A couple points

    1. Ariza is a terrible person, I heard he once murdered a coach who tried to teach him how to handle a basketball.

    2. Getting rid of Ariza allows Chase more playing time.

    Last year Chase:
    Min per game: 20
    GP: 74
    PPG: 8.9
    TO: .65
    FG%: 44.1
    3pnt%: 36.9

Last Year Ariza: (if you look at Arizas career stats it gets worse)
    Min per Game: 36.5
    GP:72
    PPG: 10.3
    TO: 2.24
    FG%: 39.4
    3pnt%: 33.4

    3. You can argue that we should have got rid of Battier instead of Ariza, but you would be wrong. Because everyone on this board loves Battier if for no other reason than he can dribble the ball, is a snappy dresser and is historically known as a good defender and the heart of the locker room.
