Ahhhh. Clutch let me know what I did wrong. I embedded an Eamon song that had, ahem, colorful lyrics. He was in the right, as always. BTW, thanks to those who had true concerns. To those who mocked? Meh... I'm off to Open City to watch the Rockets! And what happened to Landry?!?
Welcome back. I was about to start an online petition for your release from banishment. The undersigned would have marched 5 miles to Clutch's abode to hand deliver the proclamation.
Howdee Dooodee, Homeskillets! Yes, I have not been posting as much. RM95 is correct. New day gig keeps me much more busy than the old one, so I don't have time to post all day during the workday like I used to. It's cool, because the new job is better than the old one, not only the $$$ but the people are better too. It feels good to be back in the private sector after so long in the public sector. Gave up job security, but the $$$ and learning more far outweigh that for me. It's a risk I had to take since I was miserable at the old place, and I'm glad I did. It's working out great so far. And yes I am still playing music...the H-Town Jukes will be playing Cigar Cigar in Sugarland (Town Center) on Saturday 3/15 from 8-12. There is a $15 cover, and you must BYOB (but they do have setups) so all you high rollers c'mon out for a night of the blues, highbrow-style, bring your single-malt scotch or cognac and buy an expensive cigar!!
Good to hear from you again and glad the job is better. I know how it is when your job is crap. Do you ever play gigs up on the north side of town?
Not usually. We seem to play most in Sugarland, Pearland, SW Houston. Occasionally we get as far north as the Heights. I have been hearing good things about the new blues bar in Humble called Rock Wine and Blues. Perhaps we'll be doing a gig there soon. I don't know cuz I don't book the gigs other than the occasional private party.
Hey, man. I went a week and a half without a post, check my history! I only fell off the wagon when I had to go back to my boring job. LOL at the Jeff Conway reference...
