I've been supportive of keeping Wood and extending his contract since day one. Once he develops chemistry with KPJ and Green, it's going to be a very good nucleus

Agreed. He’s fussy sometimes but that’s because he has little to no experience as a winning nba teammate.

He works hard and at his weight/quickness could be a C till his mid 30’s. The slow rate at which he’s adding muscle is perfect for his trajectory.

If he were on the Heat right now, they would have him in great shape, teach him winning culture and his 20/10/2 would put them into elite contender status. Let’s be the ones who improve his health and his understanding of winning basketball.

Let’s say Green, KPJ, Sengun, Garuba get to their third season and they’re all developing well. Do you want to add a wiser and stronger 28 year old Wood to that roster so that they can begin contending seriously? Hell yes, he’d still have 4 prime years in him and if he’s better than that he currently is then we’re talking about a prime Chris Bosh type. Don’t we want that?????

Like I said before , there's only 5 players over 6'10" who put up 20/10 while shooting 37% or better from three point land.

Every team in the league is looking for that guy.

I'd be open to trading him but I'd want a kings ransom and then some.

Wood is great until he plays someone as tall as him and physical, then he gets destroyed.

That’s what we have Segun and Theis for. This team as a whole is going to have trouble with the super physical teams. Wood is good at weak side help defense, but he won’t ever be able to guard the strong guys. Segun can and Theis will do for now, but we could use one really strong big as a role player. Garuba seems to hold his own against strong guys.
