this is my bill: i called them and asked them if they could match their competitor's prices. gave them a story about how i didn't really want the hassle of changing providers as i liked comcast.
Here is what you do: Call them and tell them you don't want your basic cable. Then buy a splitter if you aren't already using one. They will probably run a signal to the dvr. I believe that is all they can do. If they somehow scramble the siganl which I doubt, they just get the cable back.
Wrong There have been residents in the leasing office just to visit the manager and her mother every time I've been by there and it's like a family. People hugging left and right, making small talk, etc. It's only a 52 unit complex so everyone knows each other. The first time I went in there some guy was there with his son and said "You lookin' to move here? I came here for my son to go to a better school, been here 10 years now. You'll love it, the people are great here". Or, you know...it could all be an act
Some guy on Fatwallet posted he signed up for Comcast TV for $1 a month special deal. http://www.fatwallet.com/forums/messageview.php?catid=18&threadid=790461 There some other deals on Fatwallet, just use the search button in the forum.
On that Fatwallet link I posted earlier, in an another thread it says that if you call Comcast and say you want to cancel your internet, they will offer you the $19.99/month deal for 6 months for your internet.
The Oaks of Moritz. It's off Bingle just north of I-10. For what I can afford, I like the area. A couple of reviews from apartmentratings.com http://www.apartmentratings.com/rate/TX-Houston-Oaks-of-Moritz.html In case you're not familiar with that site, 67% is a very good score. The only person that didn't recommend it is the only one that didn't bother to write an actual comment while the people who liked it said great things which are in line with my experiences thus far.
Be sure that Kramer takes a good Polaroid of you to place on the lobby wall. Hope it doesn't get to be like Richard Dawson over there.
