    DoD,

That story about Ace and a computer sounds right. Possibly even some ISP connection issues.

Doesn't Ace have an appreciation for art and Heypartner was also interested in that topic and there was a thread about that?

Can't believe I'm still awake (it's 7 am)... but anyway...

When I posted I was wondering whether anyone would remember me, let alone specific threads! That's really incredible!

Yeah, I did ask some questions regarding the building of computers. I was just getting into doing that and wanted to buy cheap parts online. Thanks for the help, DoD! I finally finished it when I got to England and now my mom is happily using it!

I just realised that I still have that old sig... the one about Holland in the World Cup for 2002... I put that right after Euro 2000... and we didn't even qualify! Isn't there a Dutch guy around here who can share the pain?

    Hey Sir Jackie...

Yeah, weird. How's Denmark? You studying there? I'm quite interested in the place, my friend always went on about it.

    Ace,

I agree; Edinburgh's great. We stayed at the Jarvis Hotel on Princes Sreet a couple of years ago, then at Borthwick Castle outside of town. Like SJC said, it can be rather gloomy looking on dreary days, but that's part of its charm, strangely.

...oh, and welcome back. I remember you also; I've also been around since pre-clutchcity days, but was more of a lurker early on.

I'm from Wassenaar, a town near Den Haag.

So you think we will make into the European Championship, at least?!

Cool that you're a Feyenoord fan, too bad they got knocked out of Europe... I hear van den Herik is wanting to hire some players when the transfer window opens. I hope we get something decent, our defenders are doing a terrible job! I can't believe De Nooijer is at Feyenoord now, should have happened 5 years ago. I still think he'll be a decent addition considering we've got Rzasa!

From the limited soccer knowledge I possess, I hear the Netherlands has two bright young stars in Arjen Robben and Kevin Hofland.

cool wassenaar, so you are rich:D my uncle lives in Den Haag.
we will make the european champioship. we destroyed germany in a friendly. i like it that de noojer is now playing for feyenoord. he is defenitly better than rzasa.

robben is a good player. he wil be good. But Van Der Vaart is the best talent holland has. too bad both do not play for feyenoord but for the other good clubs from holland

    heypartner,

Doesn't really seem as if I've been gone?! Lol. Well, I don't know if Clutch would let me do another feature... after all, I wrote that one back when the site was a bit smaller. Also I don't know as much about the Rockets as I used to, barely watch any of the games.

arno- rich? Not true! I wouldn't say so at all.

Robben is an excellent talent, while Hofland has not been developing too much recently. There were talks about him joining ManU but they have disappared, perhaps due to the lack of money in football. Holland's biggest talent right now is definitely van der Vaart is amazing, truly a joy to watch. So integral to the Ajax effort. Other talents are:

Robin van Persie (Feyenoord) - I was SO excited about this guy earlier this year. He played some amazing football, specially against Rangers and Milan in the UEFA Cup. He's had a few problems with Bert van Marwijk (coach), but I think he will eventually develop into a big star. He also plays for my club! :D

Theo Janssen (Vitesse) - This guy, woah. Also going to have a big future.

I also like the fact that De Nooijer has come to Feyenoord. Many people have been giving the move a hard time, but seriously... who else could we get? He was also on a free transfer.

Hey welcome back my Dutch brother!

No doubt still remember you and the potential of "Clutchtown" that we had going. :) I've been relegated to a 'casual lurker' myself the past while - at least on the bbs - due to university and other committments. Hopefully I'll be able to visit and post more often.

Always good to see another 'pre-.NETter'. ;)

van Persie is a good player. i hope he has the wright attitude. I like it that de Nooijer is gonna play for Feyenoord. but you where wright he should have come a couple of years ago. Van der Vaart is unbelievble. he is gonna be in the same league as bergkamp.

how long have you lived in holland?

    Glad your back, Ace. :)
I was lurking a very long time, until last March, but I remember wondering what had happpened to you when I was wondering who we haven't heard from in ages. I hope you bring some others out of the woodwork who've been silent for awhile. I've been to Edinburgh and really enjoyed it. I saw a great play there... a lot of culture amongst the cold and damp. Don't be a stranger!
