Okay I went by K-Mart and they were fully stocked with all the Protege bball shoes in most sizes. I tried a pair of the Stephen Jackson's and Al Harrington's on and they both fit comfortably and both had great support. The quality of the material and craftsmanship are both better than the Starbury line. You can go on Protege's website and look at the designs yourselves. They seem like pretty good basketball shoes for the value. I didn't purchase them, because I have enough bball shoes, but would probably get a pair if I need some decent shoes to just play ball in. The Protege shorts are just as good as any basic adidas or nike bball shorts. The quality of their bball shorts are not as good as the jumpman line though, but they only cost $15 a pair. I picked up two. You can never have enough basketball shorts. One of the shorts is very comfortable while the other is a little tight around the waist even though they're both the same size. They didn't have much else as far as clothing, but from what I saw the shirts are a decent value. They were essentially generic t-shirts with no tags inside the collar and an AND1 type design on the front. Nothing special about the material in regards to the tshirts and they ran about $12 or $13 each.
Thanks Kwame! I need some outdoor shoes to ball in and spending 70 bucks to get a couple pair would be great. Do they really feel like quality basketball shoes? I am not stingy, but I don't want to drive up to Kmart if they are a joke. Thanks G.
