i guess i'll buy a copy for my nephews. i'm sure their dad will get them one copy, but i'll get them a second copy so both can play multi player just cause i'm a fantastic uncle.
I wouldnt be too worried about guns not having recoil...the gameplay videos and beta videos clearly show recoil in the MP.
It does have a recoil action but it doesn't pull you off target near as badly as it should at full spray.

Can't really comment till I play multiplayer, but so far its been real good. The story when in game is good, and Vietnam is badass. Shotgun with incendiary rounds is the mothers milk though. The story is a bit cheesy though, during cut scenes. Actually I have started to hard it already. Good thing the game is so good. It's pretty much a MW2 clone as far as how the single player game plays. A million enemies that can't shoot. I don't know where I read that the ai was supposed to be vastly improved, but its not on these enemies. There some new twists to things, like "stacking up" that are very neat. But its purely eye candy. The game has a more hectic feel, almost survivalist at times, and the music is way different as they used some rock music. If they fixed the cheesiness of the story line during cut scenes it would help me enjoy this game so much more.
is there an offline story coop like in world at war??? this feature was missing from modern warfare 2
I actually just bought a back up copy of this game myself, I thought it was already out. The first 2 levels are ridiculously entertaining, as I was going to play the to the first checkpoint and switch back to Madden, but it sucks you in. I already like it better than Modern Warfare purely based on the storyline. Everything else seems the same as the previous 2 CODs, so if you like those this game is a solid bet. Also one question to the real gamers out there, WTF is this zombies mode in this game? Can someone explain to me without sending me a YouTube vid?
You kill zombies with random guns/explosives/other...that you buy with the points you get from killing the zombies. (Fix barriers for points as well.) Kill all the zombies...advance to round 2..then 3...then 4...ect... Higher the round...the more zombies that come. ..buy perks from drink machines scattered around the map to upgrade things like health, faster reloading, quicker revive. Unlimited amount of rounds....you shoot until you become zombie food. ....all that said...I haven't played the Black Ops zombies mode. ...so it could be completely different.
To be honest, Ive never played Zombies...but I dont get the appeal. I mean, if there was some sort of thing you could achieve, that's one thing...but in this, you just keep advancing levels until you die. Whats the point? Just to beat your own personal best? Seems like it would get boring after 10 tries. I dont know, I guess I'll see how it is with Black Ops.
Just watched the first 30 minutes of that one hour video...the Treyarch haters are going to be missing out big time on this game. It craps all over MW2.
Interesting statement considering you have yet to play it. Maybe Treyarch wouldn't have so many haters if they had not crapped out 5 or so horrible Call of Duty games in the past.
Ive been watching the videos just like I watch the Youtube commenators playing MW2...there is nothing in any of the videos that leads me to believe that the MP in Black Ops will be worse than the MP in MW2. The entire thing just seems so much better...leveling up system, customization, guns, currency, wager matches, better perks, less ways to die from cheap tactics, etc... And I dont care about the past...that was then. This isnt the exact same team that made WaW or any of the other games. They have new members of the team. Treyarch has been dedicated to giving an incredible MP experience from the very first day of production. Theyve spent a long time working on this, more so than they have in any other game. Just watch the videos...do you see anything that makes you cringe? Or do you like to blindly butcher this game?
The helicopter that brings the care package in is bigger and slower....giving time to shoot it down...dropping the package in a random spot. Awesome.
