So you offered to make a bet based on something you can't even define so there'd be no way to determine a winner? Nice.

And being a good fundraiser is not a political career.

To be fair, that's what Erick Erickson defined.

He's the guy who two days ago made a seemingly obscure (given that resigning from politics is not at all akin to light saber dueling) reference to a Star Wars quote
which you appear to in turn have passed off as your own thought.

    Given your history:
I'm just asking for a little clearer citation. If indeed it is a wild coincidence that the first thing you thought of when Sarah Palin resigned was (also) Obi Wan Kenobi, then I withdraw the claim. (Indeed, her breathing was perhaps reminiscent of Darth Vader's.) If it's something you read off the internet, I'd prefer a citation, in order to better understand, debate & discuss the merits of the actual (unabbreviated, original) argument.

Well, here's where you went wrong. Basso doesn't need to cite things, because there are no merits to anything he posts anyway.

So because lots of people on the internet copied/pasted the phrase as their own in the last forty-eight hours, it's okay to do it too?

I grant you that RedState doesn't have the greatest history on this issue, and Erickson might not have been the first author of the thought, but allright; thanks, basso, for copping to it not originating with you either.

    Not with you?

Actually, if you search for "palin" and put quotes around "if you strike me down," you'll see that even though it spread to the blogs, twitters, or comments sections of Atlas Shrugs, Malkin, instapundit, most people actually do link back to where they first read it, which is, you know, kind of the point.

In connection with Palin, where did you first read it?

sure, as long as you also insist that the next time sam or anyone else posts a LOL cat that they likewise properly attribute it to the very first instance of a LOL cat on these here intertubes.

I'm sure there is plenty of space on the AM dial for Palin's next career.

There's nothing worse than plagiarizing Basso. Really disappointed in you, thought as a blind political troll you could be a little more creative. Now not only are you delusional, but you're unoriginal. Really disappointed.

so, in basso's eyes, obi-wan went on to raise funds for luke skywalker and that's what made him so powerful.

    poor guy.
