for those saying Lin must have the ball to be effective, who are some PGs that are effective without the ball?
3. Could also be mistaken for "Aaron Brooks' Jammies" or "Aaron Brook's Jimmy". Just strange all around.
man, it's going to be one effing' long wait to october. feels like the start of the season is a decade away.
I still feel like Beverley's D is overrated. It looks good b/c he is fired up and playing full speed trying to be all over his man. Notwithstanding the fact that he picks up fouls at a ridiculous clip playing like that, he also gets burned plenty of times by gambling and letting his man get past him or going to double and leaving guys wide open. I like him as high energy off the bench but believe that Lin is a much better fit for our team playing with the starters.
Lin Hate...Why? I can't understand why so many Rocket fans hate Lin. While the expectations coming off of Linsanity might have been a bit too high, he started all 82 games and overall had a decent first year. Yet, many on this board want to see him gone, even though there is no one else much better out there after Chris Paul resigned with the Clippers.
It is because of his contract but we have to understand that it is the rockets that offer him that kind of pay. Lin would be happy to play for the knicks for any kind of offer lower then the current 1. Damn rockets
Because a troublingly large percentage of his fans have a bizarre emotional investment in him (and only him) purely because he's asian. So the roleplayer being underutilized offensively on our 106ppg lights out offense is a criminal offense that warrants the firing of our second contract year HOF big man coach McHale. Goodbye New York Knicks, hello Boston Rockets!
It's because people have a natural fascination with celebrity, and those who are hyped up a lot have to either meet/exceed those unbelievably high expectations, or fail and incur the wrath and disappointment of a mix of people who were either let down/disillusioned or like to be "hip" and shun mainstream idols. In truth, if Linsanity had never happened, Lin would be seen as a great young prospect on the Rockets roster. Maybe a tad overpaid...maybe. People would love his work ethic, his attitude and his amazing improvement over the summer. There would still be some talk of Bev replacing him though due to Bev's similarly great play at a 10th of the cost, but there would nto be much 'hate' on Lin.
