From cnn: http://www.cnn.com/2008/POLITICS/12/09/illinois.governor/index.html "[U.S. Attorney Patrick Fitzgerald] said Blagojevich was looking to pull $8 million in funding for a children's hospital after the hospital's chief executive officer did not give a $50,000 contribution to the governor's campaign." He's innocent until proven guilty, of course, but if he's guilty... better make sure the judge doesn't have a sick child. Actually, I don't think there's any way that could work out well for him. Well, this is why we have prisons.

Axelrod says Obama discussed the selection with RB: <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/konL35ur0Bo&color1=0xb1b1b1&color2=0xcfcfcf&hl=en&feature=player_embedded&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/konL35ur0Bo&color1=0xb1b1b1&color2=0xcfcfcf&hl=en&feature=player_embedded&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>
Straight out of the Drudge playbook. I'm sure you believe Barack Obama was on the phone with the governor discussing "so how much is Bob bidding for the seat? Don't you think that's a little low?" LOL.
he was asked about it today, and said he'd had no contact with RB: Asked what contact he'd had with the governor's office about his replacement in the Senate, President-elect Obama today said "I had no contact with the governor or his office and so we were not, I was not aware of what was happening." in light of axelrod's earlier statement, seems pretty obvious obama's not being fully truthful.
I can't watch the video, but haven't the previous articles already mentioned that Obama had recommended someone as his successor? What does Axelrod say that we didn't know?
If this was a republican all the press would be screaming for an investigation and indictment. Not to mention they would be running the contradiction of statements over and over again. In the Chronicle today they posted a story about this and made no mention of the political party of the governor....the headline on the dot com site read "Obama Saddened over arrest"...kind of makes you feel all warm and fuzzy inside doesn't it? But there is no bias in the media.....
Obasso, there is no possible way that Hussein Honolulu is not involved in this scandal -- find the link it is your duty.
He spoke out openly about the economic bailout a few days ago. Coincidence? http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2008/12/08/illinois-governer-suspend_n_149272.html
I'm wondering when the bassmaster will explain to us his newfound affinity for U.S. Attorney P. Fitzgerald Last time he mentioned him on these fine pages, he accused him of being a perjurer and liar who was intentionally filing false documents in the D.C. Circuit in order to facilitate a political witch hunt of the Bush Administration- and generally NOT to be trusted. I am just wondering how and when his reputation rehabbed in basso's eyes.
poor basso, gets a lump of coal for fitzmas: On Tuesday, Axelrod issued a statement saying: "I was mistaken. ... They did not then or at any time discuss the subject." http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20081210/ap_on_go_pr_wh/illinois_governor_obama
