Especially if they were able swing Ariza for Oubre like the team who actually signed him.

I don't mind Tilman being cheap. Just for god sake admit it. I know some wealthy people being cheap, that's how they get to stay wealthy. Don't say one thing and do another.

Fertitta is thinking when you have Harden, you automatically contend, you do not need any high end role players.

maybe it's just me but Tilman seems to be the type of guy that says "I'll spend whatever is necessary...even paying the luxury tax for us to win!" only if that spending resulted in the acquisition of an All-Star or brand name player. If it's for role players that can actually, y'know, help the team like how House could have helped us two seasons ago...he dismisses it.

That's because he's a buffoon who doesnt actually know anything about basketball. His son probably knows even less.

Bro, Patrick Fertitta demands your respect. Morey's even said that Patty's wise beyond his years.

Not only did we have to sign Ennis on the cheap , But we actually dealt him for nothing at the deadline to get under the tax .

people can say you don’t go over the tax for Ennis, but he can get minutes on playoff teams . It’s one more option that MDA was actually willing to play and he was a decent shooter . The series vs GS was incredibly close and you never know how much one extra player will get you over the hump .

Tilman so scared of the repeater tax he never payed the LT once .

Will we go into the tax this year ? Will he spend on coaching and assistants ? Player development , scouting ?

rockets are gonna have to get lucky to be on a solid track the next 20 years . Because from what I’ve seen so far , Tilman isn’t willing to put in the resources to compete the traditional way .

They should have kept Ariza, and never traded for Westbrook so soon. Westbrook and CP3 still had time on their contract. It's Tilmans greed (disdain for CP3's contract) and lack of basketball knowledge that led to this. Rash decisions. I wonder, did he even keep up with the team before buying? If Tilman didn't go into the LT when our window to win was at it's closest? When will he ever?

If he is basing all of this on letting Ariza walk he lost me.

Ariza was done and would have done nothing for those teams.

Iko is usually better than this.

Would someone tell me what we need to do to open up the full MLE? Exactly how much salary do we need to shed?

If we don't shed salary, how much of the MLE do we have available?

The reality is that there is a very good chance that you will never see a better player than James Harden in a Rockets jersey in your lifetime.
