    We have the benefit of hindsight.
    He is an excellent coach - we were second in the league for most of the year before Amen's full on emergence.

    Praying that it is the case - 1-2 weeks out, no more. It will be more difficult to win Magic and Suns, but not impossible. Then we face Mavs, Bulls and Sixers - these games are also winnable without Amen. If he can come back after them, that would be great.
    Hopefully it is indeed the case. Also, I hope both Amen and Ime learn a valuable lesson from this experience..

    Rockets were done at the trade deadline…no moves. Getting someone like Durant or Butler would have meant they were serious. This year is for experience and nothing more. Great chance for us to get the rust off of Cam and improve his tradability in the offseason. Much more important than a 3-2 first round loss.

    Yes, you leave him in there to get one rebound and record a very special triple double. It is a reward to Amen for his efforts.

    Funny, though, how Amen gave ZERO effort in the All Star game and then is busting his tail taking a meaningless shot in a blowout. Today’s players don’t give a $&@“ about the fans….only themselves and their personal stats.

    Injuries are part of the game, and a few extra minutes probably aren't going to increase the risk. But this one feels avoidable, and that's what makes it so frustrating.

    Hopefully, he's back before the playoffs start. Not that I expect the Rockets to make a deep run with him, but that playoff experience is invaluable.

    A lot of comments in here acting like D’Antoni didn’t let Harden try to get his stats in a blow out game. It’s not about coaching experience. Some accolades matter to players—especially younger ones.

    just because MDA was dumb doesn’t mean we should be letting Ime off the hook for being dumb as well

    I don't agree this.

    Mazulla is a great coach both on offense and defense. Udoka still do not prove anything.

    Houston Rockets emerging two-way force Amen Thompson will be sidelined for 10 to 14 days due to a left ankle sprain, sources told ESPN.

    An MRI on the ankle Sunday showed no structural damage but Thompson will receive treatment for swelling and rehab
