rcoleman15 My father grew up near a river and many years ago his family lost their house due to flooding. Ever since, he did his best to live away from rivers and other bodies of water. So even with the expectations of some damage, living on the beach will still have some allure to you?
Yeah..... I am a man of the sea so to speak. Always been drawn to the ocean. My wife is even more so.
CH. 11 is on the TXCN channel up here in Plano... They've said it will be a Cat 3 by landfall after all. I think after breakfast I might ride on over to Austin for a couple of days. If my wife was up it'd be a great time to go now. Freeways are deserted.
You probably have forgotten the wonderful bus loads of people who came to Houston. I mean, Houston has just been perfect since they arrived. Oh wait... If there is anytime to send them back their trash, its now.
yeah, i guess. we didn't board up so we're prepared to maybe some LARGE glass panes breaking due to something smacking into them. im wondering if we should move the furniture next to them.... i moved crap in the yard yesterday
also, my aunt and cousins(plus their beloved cat) are deciding to stay in clear lake. im like WTF! you're ten miles from the bay with a possibility of 25ft storm surge there. im having my mom call and convince her. honestly my parents know nothing about the storm, im having to tell them everything lol. theyre like "Well we're hoping it just turns around and goes away" in all seriousness. lol
