The storm now has excellent outflow in all quadrants. Do you even know how to spot that on the water vapor loop? Do you know what the hell you are talking about at all?

Personally I don't see any weakening of this storm currently. It gulped quite a bit a dry air earlier and the core is not in the best of shape but the fact that outflow is so good in all quadrants now and it still has plenty of warm ocean left still makes me worry.

I just wanted to share that I've been following the Eastern US Weather Forums where a lot of guys very knowledgeable about storms are discussing IKE. Most people on there are saying that Ike is showing signs of intensification and do not think it's going to significantly weaken like many of you guys are saying. Now whether they are right or not, I'm not sure...but I'd tend to believe guys on a weather forum more than guys on a basketball forum. :)

Exactly look at the outflow. Notice how the core though still somewhat of a mess is becoming more symmetrical and even expanding a bit. I'm not ready to jump on the idiots bandwagon and call for a TS to make a landfall.

Weather dude at my firm still thinks this thing will intensify and regain CAT 3 status by tomorrow. he still has it hitting the Freeport area as a CAT 3 or 4 (30% of being a 4).

I don't know who the hell to believe. Just bunker down I guess. :)

not that it matters now, but it took me just under 5 hrs on a normal 4.5 hr trip... i'm guessing you slackers are spending 6-7+ hrs on the road.

congrats on your bold prediction that the storm will stay as is and not gain about 11 mph of wind speed.
