My Dad seems to think this storm will catch a lot of people slippin. Hes headed for the hills. I just hope hes not right....... this time.
Eric Berger from the Chronicle is predicting that it may drift east and hit the Beaumont-Port Arthur Area. It would be a best-case scenario for Houston.
Oh man, that's a tough one. You need to get the cat some space, even tiny, to itself. Dark. Could be you just put a water dish in a decent sized closet even. Or a tiny room where the washer and dryer are, etc. But you won't want it outside.
designate a room only for the cat--litter, water, food, catnip. spend some time with it alone. maybe sleep with it. it will be fine. it won't mind having a room to itself. If you don't have a room that only you and the cat can share, try a closet. Think of it as a big, roomy cage. good luck
im waiting for the 7 o clock update. i'd feel bad for beaumont if that happened. lol poor guys have to take all of our storms.
Traffic is all green(50+mph) in metro Houston. If you live in Galveston, now would be a good time to leave. http://traffic.houstontranstar.org/layers/
sustained tropical storm winds extend 250 miles from the center it may move east a bit on the next model run...but i don't think it will go as far east as rita moved. it's much further along still moving wnw than rita was. rita started to turn northwest by thursday morning...it would need to get moving that way pretty quickly
