Yikes, 45 and 290 are already starting to pile up. Having to drive around in this crap tonight (when I'm not even evacuating) is going to BLOW CHUNKS. Houston Traffic Link
I live off the beltway and pearland parkway. Should I be concerned? And I work in Deer Park, any concern there? I've been told center street floods really easily..
Thanks. I don't have any high trees surrounding me but some around me do. I'm hoping that someone's Sattelite dish (or my own) doesn't come flying through a window. I've considered removing it from the poll during the storm.
should people in the cypress area be worried? ah, driving back home from downtown won't be too pretty
shoot, I was planning on driving home to Cypress from Austin this weekend... No way I'm driving INTO a hurricane. I tried convincing everyone to come chill with me here, but nobody's leaving. It makes me worry.
dont' worry...just prepare...prepare for a few days with no power and make sure loose objects in your yard are put up.
Well, my family decided to stay put in west Angleton. They boarded up the house, got supplies and a generator. I pray that they will be OK.
Alief just cancelled for tomorrow...they're usually the very last to announce this. I believe now every public school in Houston is closed tomorrow.
My flight is scheduled to arrive in Houston (IAH) tomorrow night at 9:15pm (great timing). Do you guys think it'll be cancelled?
absolutely. i'd be shocked if it wasn't. we're talking about the eye making landfall sometime between midnight and 2 a.m. this storm is really big in size. we'll have tropical force winds in and around the houston area tomorrow afternoon, most likely...at least gusts. i've seen flights cancelled for far less than this.
My girlfriends work just tried to tell her that the storm is going to Morgan City LA. so that she would not leave. We are in Zone B in La Porte and getting out this afternoon. I cant believe that a company is that greedy to try that. Well ok I can believe it.
