Wow...I just can't believe some of the posts I'm reading on this thread, makes me wana treat this like a 1st grade book and just look at the pictures. All I can do is sit here and wonder what goes though these people's minds.
Our own local weather meteorologists are saying it's going to be at least a Cat 3 when it hits. If you don't like my posts, ignore them. You don't need to criticize them.
My mother-in-law is supposed to fly into town on Saturday morning, so I'm a little conflicted regarding how to feel about Ike. Does that make me a terrible person?
Has it ever occurred to the hurricane wishers that you can go without power for a few days, no AC in humid weather, eating canned food and bread, roads blocked due to fallen trees and power lines, and waiting in line for gas for a few hours? I've experienced this with cat 1-2 hurricanes and indirect cat 3's. It's not just a few branches in your front yard. And it could be much worse (home repair, car damage, personal injury, etc). Let's not even discuss stronger hurricanes.
This morning everything pointed to this thing still going at LA, now I wouldn't be surprised if it moves all the way to South Texas.
You know, honestly, I do get all of my information from this message board about these things, and I think I should be able to just chime in with whatever the hell I want to say without putting your panties in a bunch. sorry
if you wanna experience a hurricane go somehwere else and experience it. im not too sure where you heard that being in a hurricane is cool
the problem is they're probably in school. yeah, they might get a few weeks off, but they dont realize it's gonna be hot as hell, no lights, and no tv. they'll realize how fun it is, when they have water in their house. they'll realize how fun it is when they're cleaning up....they're better off going to school and learning some ****
I don't go to school in Houston. I go to UT in Austin - _ - just to let you know, I could care less about Austin getting anything, we aren't going to get anything over there.
Hmm. A lot of the models have it headed south of us. What about this "north turn?" They usually end up turning north. Rita was tracked for H/G but it turned north and hit the Tex/Lou Border.
