Just so everyone knows... As the eye comes over you, you may have up to 3 hours of quiet.. then you stand to have an equal amount of time of storm as the back half comes through. So, don't go out thinking it's over in an hour, hour and a half or so. Wait until the media is giving an "all clear" type message.
unless there's some volume channel control that I'm not seeing, it's kinda annoying that all the channels sound are coming at the same time even if you blow up one of them. appreciate it though.
There is a mute button and volume on each frame near the center of the bottom http://www.maroonspoon.com/wx/ike.html I'm watching 11 in HD.. KHOU via TXCN in Plano, TX... and the link ^
Their house should be OK since they are on the Westside of the storm. Maybe shingles or a fence, but nothing significant. Electricity? They might be out, but they wouldn't be the only ones in the Houston area.
Any other updates from Angleton? I live in Angleton but evacuated to San Antonio. I'm keeping up locally on The Facts newspaper website (www.thefacts.com). I heard the Brazoria County Courthouse in downtown lost parts of its roof. Where in town do you live?
Thanks, my mom's of Baker and I-10 (windsor lake area), so hopefully things are all well with her also.
Solved issue, won't show correctly on firefox but will on IE. and as I type this the power went out twice.
Hmmm... I have Firefox 3.0 and it's just fine... Here are some good forum links... damage reports http://www.khou.com/forums/viewforum.php?f=65&sid=1520624e5845783317b7f250808b37a1
I was sleeping just fine until we heard an explosion or something down the road. Woke up and now my nasty cold is keeping me awake.
