aahh, thats getting a little picky there aint ya? Thought it was right there where they all come together, but since I never go thru there I can only go from the area it is in. As for the Mother NAture thing, if we get anywhere near the predicted surge, wont the same thing happen to it? Possibly premature, but it is very vulnerable right now.

I've consumed my fair share of alcoholic beverages tonight. I actually probably won't go to sleep, but I don't have a power cord where I'm watching tv so I don't want to plug my computer into the wall and risk frying it (did that with a work computer a couple years ago).

That 15 year old weatherman on Ch 13 just said that the eye wall (the worst of the storm) will be in Pasadena at 3:30 and Downtown at 4:14.
You are in the Northern Eye Wall, but it looks like you are going to go right through the middle of the Eye in about an hour to an hour and a half.... Which means you should no longer be on the dirty side of the storm....but rather taking a direct hit. Edit: Now it looks like it might have wobbled a bit back to the west....gonna have to wait and see. DD

I don't know that you can infer direction too much from the wobbles. I think when you see a wobble, it's just precessing, like a spinning top that isn't spinning exactly on axis. Its overall motion might be independent of that precession.
at this point - seems like the eye will pass over galveston. wobbles don't matter - it's so close now.
