Yeah I know, but I think they would take their chances...I haven't been watching the Weather Channel, but yeah they're stupid
Ah ha! I wondered why that guy looked so damn familar on ESPN. How in the world did he get there though? Did he ever do a single sports segment in his life at ABC?
If you're in Galveston, you're an idiot. At least 3 fires burning and there's nothing they can do about it. Think these people are going to stay the next time?
Nice. Half of our tree just fell on the house and I see three other trees down on our street and at the church across the street. We're getting hurricane force winds and a lot of rain right now.
I just called a girl friend who's worried about us in Florida and it went right through. Verizon though.
I just saw that the Houston area, the parts that were not mandatory evacuation areas, are going to get hurricane force winds around 2:30 am
Same here, most of my family lives in the 77017 - Pasadena area, but most are staying with other family members who live just north of the 610 loop. My mom called me this afternoon and asked if anyone on Clutchfans had heard anything about the West End of Galveston.
I know I saw him cover stuff for the Little League World Series (I think a team from this area was in it a few years ago), but he's mainly a news type of guy I actually met him once and he said that ESPN saw his tapes from the hurricane coverage and brought him in for an interview and now works for them, mainly news type of stories, Outside the Lines type of work. Nice guy, still lives in Houston.
I heard you don't get paid alot if you're just a reporter on ESPN, I guess you get to travel alot though. I recognize 3 former H-town reporters on ESPN; Hannah Storm, Michelle Bonner and that Lyn dude.
