Over here in Manvel, near 288/6 south, my power is out although a steet over has there's Winds here are gusting about maybe 20+ mph I'm going to take a nap and wake up when the worst of it comes Signing out from my blackberry
i know it's fun experiencing high winds (i was doing it earlier) but i wouldn't stay out too long. quite a few people die from unsuspecting tree limbs that break off on fall on them.
Heavy winds in 3rd Ward and I still have power. My internet is with AT&T Uverse, so I believe I will lose it when the power (and the router box) goes out. Sucks.....
Rokkit, Go to http://thefacts.com That's the newspaper website for the Brazosport area in Brazoria County. They have a blog running with updates of the southern Brazoria County area every few hours.
i think we're getting gusts of 45 mph here in sugar land. trees shaking violently. windows making cracking noises.
Car alarms going off here on west rd and highway 6. We still have power. My neighbors tree is making cracking noises.
I live in a townhouse in Alief. Our back door leads to a patio which leads to the garage. We have 2 story walls separating out patio from our neighbors. Well, the one between us and our neighbor on the left is going to come down at some point. Some boards have already fallen and the part of the wall connected to the garage, well it's not connected anymore except for maybe at the base. It's still connected to the houses. The wood looks rotten. Whenever a gust comes it starts swaying back and forth from our side to theirs. No doubt that it's going to come down at some point. Those neighbors have put the house up for sale and have moved out, though I did see them there this afternoon.
