So far so good in Mo City. Winds are blowing, no rain at all, power is still on. My son and I went out and threw a football, just for kicks, so we could watch the ball curve in the air. If the power goes out, I hope it waits until overnight.

Not directly from the storm. His parents were cutting down the tree and one of the limbs feel on him. Happened just a couple of miles down the road from where I live.

Allison sat stationary over the top of Houston. This hurrincane, once it gets inland toward the Houston area, will start to scoot rather quickly to the north north east due to a strong trough that will pick it up.

Pretty much everyone in the city did, most people as far south as Pearland and even Alvin.

    Good news, everybody!

My cousin and brother came back from Galveston. They drove from Tomball all the way down to the Seawall and got some video footage. They were careful not to trap themselves in water.

Morons! Thank goodness, they are safe.

You'll be good bro. You might get some water, but considering the circustances, that's not that bad. Good luck

During one of the hurricanes that hit south Florida (3 years ago? It wasn't even the most destructive one that season, maybe cat 2), a guy was walking around during the very early stages checking out the wind and a limb fell on him and killed him. Another guy was in his car in the parking lot of my old high school and a tree fell on his car and killed him.

Expect the unexpected even if you venture out way before peak time.
