Since the accuser's sex life can be admitted as evidence in this case, the prosecution's case seems to have even less legs. Which would you choose if you were Kobe? Personally I would sue the girl, her family and all the parties involved.
Or I'd thank my lucky stars that I got away with rape. I don't understand how her sex life means Kobe isn't guilty. I'm not saying he is, but this doesn't prove anything to me.
Kobe's got the cash. I'm sure he would want to pay the woman off and be done with the whole thing. But...... If I were Kobe, I would be selling the rights to this story to Vivid Video, signing my contract for my starring role, and then go about picking my female costars!
i agree. i'm expecting the prosecution to trot out some expert who says that her behavior after the rape was not unexpected, but even the norm, in those types of situations. i just don't know. so if someone is promiscuous, they can't be raped? if kobe did all the things she alleges, does her sexual history matter? if he literally put his hands around her throat and threatened her, does it matter that she had sex a few days later? i'm not an expert in this stuff, so i just don't know. but the jurors won't be experts either.
What if she made the whole thing up? Believe it or not there are women that would make up a story to get money out of a celebrity. What has she done to prove that she is any different? NOTHING.
Well, we do know that Kobe's an ass that enjoys cheating on his wife, if nothing else. The trial hasn't started yet, how do you know what she's proven or not? All Kobe's defense has proven that she's had sex before. Not sure how that equates to Kobe not raping her. BTW, how many times have you had sex that resulted with someone's blood ending up on your shirt? I like it a little rough sometimes, but I draw the line at drawing blood.
At best there was a 50/50 possibility that he raped her. I think that percentage has dramatically swung to his favor. He cheated true enough, but that doesn't make him a rapist. BTW I don't like Kobe, and to see him go to jail for a few years would not be a bad thing, but not for this. .02 Blood on his shirt could be from bad monthly timing. I've seen girls like that RM, and they will stop at nothing to get what they want.
We don't know enough to be able to put odds on whether he did this or not. We can put odds on whether or not he'll be convicted or if the case will even reach trial, but not on the actual outcome. Only two people can do that. The fact that she's sexually active means absolutely nothing.
if her sexual history is relevant than his should be too. he should be asked under oath if this was his first and only infidelity (somehow i doubt it)
If she was a virgin it wouldn't mean anything? Kobe isn't on trial for having sex with her. He's on trial for rape.
The Kobe defense is doing what all great defense teams do. They are taking the focus away from Kobe and the evidence, and are instead putting the emphasis on the victim, doing whatever they can to paint her in a negative light. This tactic worked for Bonnie Garland's killer and it will work for Kobe. Kobe will walk, regardless of whether or not he committed the crime (and I think there is a decent chance that he did).
The defense has an expert that said she had sex just hours after Kobe. That to me is very important. If she was raped by Kobe I find it troubling that she would have sex with someone else just hours after.
LOL. Damn... RM if she was a virgin it would be something that (IMO) the prosecution would hang it's entire case on.
