    I voted for t-mac...
Ill admit that i didnt "love" the trade francis and fillers for t-mac but once he started playing i just enjoyed watching him sooo much he truly was one of the premier scorers in the league his first few years here...he had two of the greatest moments in rockets franchise history i think...with the bradley dunk and the 13 in 35 two moments i will never ever forget...it sucks the way it ended for him but t-mac will always be a favorite of mine and i would relive his era in a heartbeat...

    that is all...

Why is it a ridiculous question? I think its interesting to look at things in retrospect and see how much we actually miss some frustrating moments of our past.

Steve has the most vote and everyone is saying cause he as the most fun to watch but back then all you read was:
    *He is not a pg
*Dribble, dribble, dribble, jack up a shot with 4 sec left
    *He doesn't play D
*Dribble, dribble, dribble, jack up a shot with 4 sec left
    *Iso to much
*Dribble, dribble, dribble, jack up a shot with 4 sec left
    *Doesn't make team mates better
    Did I mention
*Dribble, dribble, dribble, jack up a shot with 4 sec left

Yes he would make a highlight play every game but for the most part fans on this board swore watching Steve play was like dying a slow death cause of all the dribbling.

Pippen era was the shortest so I'll go with that.

As fun as the Barkley era was, no way would I ever want to relive the closing moments of the '97 season.

Well, it depends. For the sheer players on this team, the Tmac era, because I believe we would have won the championship (or at least gotten close to it) in the 08-09 season if it hadn't been for injuries (to Tmac/Yao).

But if I had to relive the exact same era with all the injureis, Steve Francis for sure. I remember those were the most exciting games to watch. Remember the game against Toronto? (against a young Tmac ironically) That was like an allstar game every play was so exciting, I would never change the channel (unlike now days). Also the Vancouver game, steve francis off the glass, charles barkley getting pissed at the fans lol. those days were the best. also was a fan of the alley-oop to kelvin cato from franchise each game, a young cuttino mobely sharpshooter.

hell even glenn rice. i remember once we were down by 5 against the clippers with less than a minute left, and glenn rice brought us back with great shots. also against the defending champion lakers, steve with 44, i was at that game too.

even though we sucked as a team, it was at least fun to watch (again, unlike now days).

Look this isn't the All-star vote gag thing... Why is TMac winning? Does Steve have signature moments to compare with TMacs bradley dunk and the 13 in 35?

Since the Twin Towers era isn't in the poll (for shame!), I'll go with Barkley. It wasn't an easy choice, but I will forever remember watching him pick up Shaq and heave him to the court. When he did that, I forgave all his sins and became a fan.

The Barkley era was a failure cause we didn't go to the NBA Finals.

I know some people don't understand how it is really to be a contender, not a pretender.

    Good topic!

If I had to choose one, it'd be Barkley. Basically because Eddie's 3 against Utah will be something I'll never forget.

Id relive the Barkley era. It was fun watching those guys out there. We should have played the Bulls in the finals, not the Jazz

the worse era isnt even listed. the worse is post tmac ..which is NOW

atleast with barkley you had a star player, same with pippen and tmac and francis

right now is boring as hell watching battier and ariza and hayes in the starting lineup with no allstars and brooks is off alot and the only bright spot is landry but i feel sorry for him kinda

it just isnt exciting anymore .maybe if lowry and taylor and cbud and landry were all starting

lowry/taylor/cbud/landry/scola thats a lineup i could see being entertaining.

the barkley era was very good, the best era between the options.
and I would relive that time that the rockets played a regular season game in mexico, I got courtside tickets, and I shook barkey's hand, and I still have his autograph, was amazing that day!

I didn't say anything about forgeting any of these eras. I wanted to know, considering none of these accomplished the ultimate goal of winning the championship, which would people want to relive. I also wanted to try to get other people to realize although we aren't going to win a championship this year one day some of us are going to look back at this year and think:
*Yeah we didn't win but the way they ran the court as awesome
*Remember when AB broke out and had his first all star year but wasn't getting calls and respect from the refs.
*The Rockets went to the playoffs with 40 mil on the bench

A championship is the goal. If you don't accomplish your goal then you have failed at it. But, dont get me wrong here, I fully believe and want others to see you can enjoy a season even if you dont win the championship. I don't think we traded Cassell and Horry just to get to the conf finals, the goal was a championship.

    Clutch,

Clutchfans BBS has been infected with H1N1. Horrible1Newbs1

there should be a a simple Rockets test, I mean you can let these Jersey Shore Tmac fans take, they don't know how to google information anyways.

They don't know Rockets history and on another thread, they don't even know Tmac history!

Even Jazz and Maverick Fans know that Charles Barkley was in the Western Conference Finals with the Rockets?

How can we let people have the term "Rocket fan" if they don't know anything about the Rockets? That's like letting some Taxi Driver fly a 747.
