Go to Milan and bring back an Alfa Romeo 166. And you'll still have about $8k of your $45k left to spare. http://www.alfaromeo.com/cgi-bin/pb...eglcefecejgdfiidfno.0&categoryOID=-1073751184

I personally have a Navigator, but they suck, get one of the new infinities, they're really cool looking and they are easy to park, unlike a Navigator.

If I was actually using my funds, not some imaginary unlimited funds like a lot of the posts in this thread, I would buy a Toyota Prius. Then again, I could be brainwashed by going to the Toyota Center almost every week. B
Well the car does cost a million dollars (or is that in pounds), so unless that is Donald Trump or the Sultan of Brunei, I don't think it is surprising to see that vehicle in a trailer park.
For what it's worth, my father-in-law, who owns a Heffner Viper, (which has been dyno-ed at 1000+ hp at the wheel) has a Nissan 350Z as his commuter car, and he loves it. It should fall snugly within your price range.
Here is the car I want to get when graduate this spring. The new Volvo S40. It comes out as a 2004.5 model. The loaded turbo T5 model comes in at a only a tad over $30,000. Safety and Style at a resonable price and dammit I want one. Three auto magazines have a write-up on it this month so check it out. (Motor Trend, Car and Driver, Road and Track)
The new S40 looks like a mix between the '03 S60 and the Lexus IS300. Volvos and Saabs are really popular in my part of town. I actually drove the S60, which was pretty nice, but a tad overpriced.
Has anyone esle noticed the similarities beween the new Corvette: And the Viper: I just see those Chevy commercials where all the cars are running up onto the trailer thing while it's driving, and I think: "Corvette looks like a Viper, this other thing looks like a Toyota Matrix (GM did help Toyota on that on though), the Silverado looks like a Nissan Frontier with those damn plastic wheel basins..." Chevy engineers must've been hard up for ideas this model year.
The Mazda 3's and 6's are pretty nice. But then again in your price range you could probably get a RX8
