The JCW is not worth the money. I own a 2003 MCS and I've had it on the track a number of times. The last time we were on the track there were a couple works packaged cars there and I passed one on the back straight and we were both giving it our all. Needless to say the guy was pissed that his car cost 6 big more than mine stock and the only mods I had done were cold air intake and exhaust (aprox $800 worth of aftermarket). Well I also have a front strut brace and a stiffer rear sway bar but those don't affect hp or torque but they do make my MCS handle better than his also. Once my warranty is gone hello 15% smaller pulley and software upgrade.

    Back on topic...

The Corvette is a great choice for that kind of cash. So is the BMW M3. All of that said I'd buy another MINI in a second. I love my MINI.

Saw one of these at the movie theater the other day, looked sweet. I think I liked the two Ferrari Modenas next to it better though.

I would get a new Corvette, they look sweet, although maybe out of your price range.

OR you can get a 350z/RX8/EVO/STI for $30,000 and save the rest of you rmoney.

i was going to say the same exact thing as nomar. if i was going to get a bmw it would be a M3 not a 5 series.

If i had a M3 my life would be complete. :)

My favorite cool cars for under $45K:

    Acura TL
    Nissan 350Z
    Infiniti G35(Sedan/Coupe...it's all good)
    BMW 5 Series
Mercedes Benz E-Class(IMO, the best combination of value, prestige, power, handling, and luxury available right now)

I personally would go for the G35 Coupe. Has everything good about a Z and a backseat!

If you can wait 6 months or so i would wait for the new 05 Corvette to come out. Its sticker is right around 45k and it now has 400hp.

If you are looking for something with a back seat i would take a long look at the Infiniti G35 sport coupe. It could use a little more horsepower but it is extremly well designed.

I always see those things buzzing around town and think that about 20 clowns are about to start pouring out of them. But I think you can buy about 2 or 3 of those for $45k! :)
