Buy a boat...hoist the jolly roger and spend the rest of my days sailing the seven seas....arrrrrrggggg
Retire......without calling in. Py off my vehicles, house, and any other miscellaneous debt. Buy a toy or two (probably a car or two), buy a place on the beach somewhere for the summers. Oh wait, it's only a million........
Why is everyone limiting themselves to a million bucks? The thread title is "if you were a millionaire", so that means at LEAST a million bucks... I'd still do two chicks at the same time, though...
I'd buy the Houston Rockets. I'd hire myself as the coach. I'd trade Cuttino Mobley for a bunch of strippers to replace the Rockettes.
If I had 1 million dollars I'd: Buy a computer Get a haircut Pay off my tutoring costs Save some for college Take a trip to Mecca Donate some to charity Put 250Grand of it in a bond buy myself a cheap BMW Buy a house Buy over 100 DVD's [/list=1]
DaDa..... Part of the problem with basements in the Houston area is that the basement usually will fall below the flood plain elevation for that particular area. Even if you are not in an area that is determined by FEMA to be in the flood plain you still may have issues because of the water surface elevation established by the engineer who designed the storm sewer system that serves this area. This doesn't mean that it can't be done but sometimes it will present a problem. There ARE plenty of ways to flood proof the basement though, so don't let that stop you. Hell, it's your million dollars.....lol.
Dude, that sucks...I really feel for you. I've had to go through nearly the same thing (being away from significant other for long period of time), and it's hell.
It does suck, and we're only on day one. But it really makes you realize how much you care about and love somebody. And I'm not worried. We're going to be okay. I just miss him a lot and I know he misses me too. This is his life and his job. It's the best thing for him and for us (as I can't date an unemployed person forever, and he'll be happy in the army). So hard to stay positive. Thank you so much for the support. And that goes to everyone else too!
