the problemisnt just his D, it's his offense sometimes. With von it's hit or miss, its like with tmac, players stand around because they dont know if he's going to pass or not. He'll go several possessions without passing (which sometimes is a good thing), but that puts the rest to sleep, whenh e finally passes, they're arent ready or his passes arent good because he's often passing to get out of trouble.

He did it last night when he drove, got stopped as he jumped in the air and had to fire a bullet to Landry over his head, landry couldnt get it and it went right out of bounds.

If he's in there they cant just let him have the green light every posession, he needs to be controlled.

this is why i don't understand why everyone here is screaming for wafer. in a perfect world, you would sit artest, but you can't do that because of his god complex. as little as shane gives you on offense, you absolutely can't sit him in crunch time - he shuts down the other team's transition offense and is the only guy on our team that doesn't lose his man on screens/picks. (as a side note, there is absolutely no excuse for shane to not be on roy the rest of this series). you can't sit scola because aldridge is 6'11. so there's no solution to having wafer in there. the guy who should be sitting (artest) would go vernon maxwell game 1 95 jazz on you if you sat him. for those of you under 20, that means you've just lost artest for the rest of the playoffs.

i guess im in the very small minority here because i think there is a much higher probability of yao being shut down for the rest of the series and roy continuing his dominance than there is of yao repeating anything close to his game 1 performance. if we learned anything over the course of this season, it is that we have no answer for the fronting defense and game 2 reaffirmed that belief. i don't expect that to suddenly change, and i also see no indication of us figuring out how to slow down roy. so while everyone seems to be seeing game 2 as the aberration, i don't see how you can't think game 1 was the complete and total aberration as there is zero chance they will play yao straight up ever again.

I love Scola but I have to say he sits.

    Line up
    Yao - Princessvilla
    Brooks - Blake
    Battier - Roy
    Artest- Aldridge
    Wafer - Fernandez

Wafer isn't that bad on defense, if anything the Rockets can play Zone-D and/or double team making the Blazers pass the ball to some one with a lower shooting %age (Blake)

Von Rooster needs to be in the game when he is hot.

you want Ron on Aldridge? ron will get called for a foul every play, he's too aggressive to guard aldridge, who'll just shoot over him. chucky is short too, but he's got better defense strategy in the post than ron.

We have shown that we can't stop their guard from scoring so we send Battier to the bench and bring in Wafer who is an active scorer and one who demands coverage. :p
