Now I can sleep better at night, knowing that it's also the capitol of a state that had a highly motivated, but small minority of the voters dump their "values" on top of everyone else's. Simple solution, check those who want to get divorced whether at one time in their lives ever muttered something like "sanctity of marriage" and "between a man and a woman." If they did, then either don't allow them to get divorced or don't allow them to vote on gay marriage ever again.
Absolutely. We also haven't seen society being toppled on its head. People who don't like gay marriage are still free to teach their children that it is a bad thing. I haven't seen one bad result for straight families in Mass as a result of gay marriage being legal thee.
