I have never found myself rooting to lose, but the Texans are an exemption. Agent- the truth is that 1 or 2 more wins isn't going to matter at all. We won't make the playoffs, we're most likely going to have big front office changes, coaching changes, player changes, etc...more wins would hurt us more in the future. The #1 pick in this years draft could be enough to help improve this franchise a whole lot. Whether you take Bush or trade the picks.
i really hate these "fans" who cheer for the texans to win. sorry, im more of a logical thinker. i think long term over short term. if losing a couple more games will gain us an amazing runningback and player, then let it be. im cheeriing for the 2006 texans...2005 texans are finished.
So you are unwilling to sacrifice a couple of games to have a better chance at several years of better season records because you are hard core like that?
Exactly. The orignal poster sounds like an ignorant 'fan' if you ask me. People weren't hoping the Texans would go 2-13 at the beginning of the season. But at this point there isn't anything to be gained by winning. So if we get a great player or can get multiple picks by losing this year so we can be a better team next year, I am all for it. And yes, I have had season tickets for 3 years, own multiple jerseys and all types of merchandise , but I guess because you post your 'rant' on the board you are more of a fan than me? Get a clue.
