Apparently some jugglers got angry because of all the attention he was getting, and one of them did the same routine, but with 5 balls. http://youtube.com/watch?v=QYUXaYCkv-A&search=jason garfield
That juggler diss video is lame. First off it's shot with multiple cuts, so how are we supposed to know if the guy can do the whole routine from start to finish. And I agree with 3814, Chris Bliss had a lot more "showmanship" in his performance, whereas the 5-ball guy looked like a robot doing his tricks. Now this isn't to say that what the 5-ball guy is doing isn't amazing (it is pretty incredible). But I just think that it's kind of lame to engage in a juggling pissing contest.
I think the only real way to settle this is a no-holds barred, full blown juggle-off. Each juggler gets a rack of balls, differing sizes of course, and he can begin juggling them. The difficulty comes in when they start throwing their balls to the other juggler. You cannot drop a single ball. First to let 3 hit the ground loses. If you want to amp this up to a PPV showing, then one of the juggling balls IS A GRENADE.
What song was that? At first, I was thinking, "couldn't he have picked a better song than this?", but the song started getting really good in the middle. One time I caught the juggling championships (yes, it DOES exist) on ESPN. Awesome stuff...
This new guy has piped in audience sounds. He has no audience. He's a chump, with no crowd. He should be original instead of trying to mimic a master. A legend. A hero.
that's also a good point. chris bliss did his act perfectly in front of an audience. who knows how many times the 5-ball guy messed up...he could keep on trying forever until he did it perfect. not to say that he isn't an amazing juggler...but he didn't prove anything by doing the "chris bliss diss" video.
Bliss, and others, credit YouTube for helping their careers. Chris Bliss Comedian and juggler, www.chrisbliss.com He's a staple on late-night TV, headlines comedy clubs and was recently picked to perform at the 20th anniversary Just for Laughs Festival in Montreal, the world's largest comedy festival. And Bliss freely gives much of the credit to a random YouTube posting by unknown persons of a juggling video. "I had it on a personal and a corporate website, and sometime after January, it was posted," says Bliss, who is from Washington, D.C., and juggled professionally before switching to stand-up. "The viral video phenomenon has had a huge impact on my career, certainly the biggest thing since I first did the Tonight show several years ago." Fit for a king or a knight: Bliss says that as a direct result of the spread of the juggling video via YouTube, "I've been to Scotland to speak at a conference featuring Sir Bob Geldof, been invited to perform for the King of Sweden, been posted on Ringo Starr's website, and am shooting a music video for a well-known artist. (I can't say who.)" Recently, Bliss received the ultimate honor: A parody of his act was posted on YouTube. "But judging from the comments e-mailers made about that video, I don't think the exposure was very helpful to that act. It's definitely a 'sword cuts both ways' technology."
