If you had to retire outside of your home country, where & why?

    i'd agree with the new zealand posters since i've been, my husband and i often think about immigrating there and living there forever. :) it's beautiful there and soooo laid back!

    Wow, Bora Bora is gorgeous. I've got to go there at some point.

    For me, it would have to be somewhere warm with a cheap currency and a favorable tax code.

    As much as I love Europe and the UK, there is no way I would retire there. With the current price of the Pound and the Euro you would have to go back to work to afford to live there.
