Guadalajara. I'm in Guadalajara now, and after adjusting, let me tell you, it's a hell of a great place. I'm gonna do a write up of my month here when I get back.
I used to work there at the Siemens facility just south of town. I had a blast there. I would require a beach in my ideal location, though.
I was in Stockholm back in December. BITTER COLD and dark almost all day. No thank you. The city itself was extremely well planned out and clean, however. The people spoke ridiculously good English, also. My vote is going to go to either Las Vegas or southern Florida.
Seattle - i'll be in seattle one day HK - always going to be my home tokyo - I just watch too much japanese tv shanghai - i heard that shanghai girls are pretty
Yes, it's amazing, Scandinavians almost speak better English than the average American...oops, I said it . I also agree about the winter in Stockholm, it's horrible. Summer is great, though. And the girls are very pretty and stylish, even though they are a bit too cold for my taste.
London Rome - If I knew Italian, this would probably be my #1, just because it is so damn cool. Vancouver Seattle Chicago Dubai Sydney Washington DC - Definitely has its downfalls, but I really believe this and a lot of the Northern Virginia area is the most underrated place to live in the US. Houston Resorts and ski towns(Tahoe, Maldives, Whistler, etc...) sound great, but I don't know if I would want to live there full time.
I want to make add something to my post. I still want to move into the Loire Valley in France, but I want to import all my food from Spain, particularly from the region of Castille, and Valencia
I don't know if I would want to live there because of the climate, but one international place I want to visit is Scotland.
Yes, the climate isn't all that great, but the Highlands are definitely worth a visit (and the whisky distilleries!). This abbey in Fort Augustus, Scotland is where I first learned English: By the way, the monks are out of the abbey now, and apparently you can buy the place if you have some extra cash. http://www.btinternet.com/~lovat.abbey/
No kidding. Exactly the place I want to move to. I should be heading to Dubai in a few days to follow up on some business. If I have enough money in about 2-3 years I am making my down payment for a waterhome on the Palm Jebel Ali.
Jackie, Did you happen to visit Inverness and Loch Ness when you were in Scotland? Hear any bagpipe music?
Yes, all of the above. Inverness is nothing special, though. Edinburgh is very beautiful when the weather is nice. The pictures I posted above ARE from the Loch Ness...that's where it starts. I swam in it, too, even though it was frickin' cold. Glad Nessie didn't eat me!
