Since you seem to like the upscale lounges and such, you'd probably enjoy hanging out in the Warehouse District, around 4th and 5th St, rather than the flip-flop laden dollar beer bars on 6th. There's no shortage of bars and clubs in this town, that's for damn sure. I'm 24, and lived here for 7 years, and absolutely love it. As far as rental prices, it's pretty comparable to what you'd pay in Houston. Once the tech industry bottomed out, it left the city with tons of vacant luxury apartment space. Also, 183 IS Research Blvd.
I'm living where I want to.....Houston After 12+ years in Los Angeles, I can safely say that Houston is a fantastic place to live.
Ditto...even though I'm giving some thought to moving to the Bay Area in the next five years or so. I doubt it though.
Honolulu. Weather's fantastic, with a temperate climate 10 months out of the year. People are easygoing and down to earth. And it's very much a cutural melting pot. More so than a lot of big cities that have diverse populations, but where the different cultures tend to separate themselves into groups. In Hawaii, there is much more of the different ethnic cultures seeping into the general public, and combining into one giant "local" culture. It's mostly Asian and Hawaiian/Pacific Islander influences, but what do you expect in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. I lived there during my high school years and would love to go back someday. Edit: Oh wait. I can only pick from the list. Well never mind, I don't have an opinion on any of those cities, though I've heard good things about San Diego.
I already live in Austin, so I'd go with San Diego or Vancouver. I'd get into too much trouble in Vegas.
Yep. Although my brother wants me to move to Jackson Wyoming to become a park tour guide, and the Portland area is creeping into the list to. I have done the New York, Boston, all of Florida and the only reason i'm considering Austin is that I have a ton of friends there - but that is probably the end destination.
