My love for the Rockets is ETERNAL and will NEVER fade. But my HATE for Tilman is umm. it's up there, fam. Always has been.
Now this is truth! This franchise has endured and overcome so much that this is just another blip on the radar: Those early days at Hofheinz Pavilion when only 200 people would show up for games. Trading away Elvin Hayes to Washington only to see him win a ring. Same with Moses Malone. The John Lucas crash and burn. Not to mention the Lewis Lloyd and Mitchell Wiggins crash and burn that led to massive sucking. Or those days at the Summitt when when things were so dicey that they (Rox) allowed you to come to games if you brought a Rainbo bread wrapper. Oh, and let's not forget that awful Christmas when everything stopped because of Kermit Washington nearly killing Rudy T. Tinman speaks the truth.
If anything this should teach Tilman a lesson on how you ruin a product when you don't know how to run it. Hopefully he realizes he can't run this team like his restaurants and just sits back and enjoys the professionals doing their job. Les catered to the Chinese market for a decade and we all knew Yao wasn't the guy. I'm looking forward to watching hungry young players develop here. I hated watching Harden underachieve while being spoiled by everyone around him.
@tinman a love for the Rockets is exactly why I hate Tilman’s penny-pinching BS. He gutted this team quicker than Sarver in Phoenix
The real abuse was believing in Harden and watching Luguentz Dort pop off for 30 points while Harden makes 4 total field goals in a game 7. Abuse is watching the “best player in the NBA” sit on the bench in the 4th quarter of an elimination game while getting bailed out by Corey Sewer and Terrence Jones. When the “greatest offensive player“ ever shoots 2-11 and gets eliminated at home by a G league Spurs squad sans Kawhi/Parker while Jonathon Simmons makes a name off of you that’s what abuse is. Leading the league in turnovers 6 out of the last 8 years with a terrible assist ratio to counter was abusive. Pushing CP3 out cause you can’t handle accountability and signing off to bring in your BFF instead and forcing the team to change the roster and the way the game should be played in order to make said BFF you brought in try to fit was abuse to Morey, D’Antoni and us whether you know it or not. I for one am glad the abuse is over.
Tilman Fertitta is a great man and will be a great owner to lead the Rockets to the future. ! This claim about Tillman Fertitta is disputed
Right on but everybody wanna blame the owner it’s not his fault it’s was James all along plus Daryl and I’m not even bout to mention MDA
THANK YOU! I love James Harden more than some of my family members, but I will always ride or die with the Rockets. I don't give a damn who is on the team.
How when he offer our guy 50 millions dollars a year that a lot for any player, how when Daryl Morey gave up half the team for a old pg then promised him the money we over paid him for then paid Clint to much money the same year, and they lost key players just to keep them happy. To be real Daryl best move was getting Harden other than that he did a mediocre job his whole time here. Daryl pamper James his whole time in Houston and this is facts we all know this Tilman is not the only person to be blame for this
Not with you-know-who as owner. I remain a fan, as I've been since 1971, but it's hard to be optimistic about a future under Tilman.
This post makes no sense. For most of James Harden's time in Houston, we've always been contenders for the title. For all of your perceived flaws of James Harden, we'd be stuck in a continuous cycle of "...with the 14th pick of the NBA draft" instead of "Houston looks like one of the best teams in the league this year" if it wasn't for Harden. Hate him all you want, but we're about to go back into mediocrity with whatever haul we get from trading Harden and Westbrook. Keep that same energy about how watching Harden was abuse, when we either don't make the playoffs or get swept out of the first round as the 7th or 8th seed.
This sounds like a logical thread that you can leave if you do not like Hong Kong, but we love Hong Kong, but Xi leadership results in no peace in Hong Kong, which is similar to the Rockets new owner with Xi personality.
Yes somehow everyone forgets that we never made a finals since 95 who’s best player was acquired in the draft in 84
We already had it put away at that point. Doesn't matter though. Its all good, Brother. Peace & Go Rockets!
